Should be fine. They're a smaller, budgetized version of the Western Wideout or Fisher XLS. Since they're smaller there'll be less stress on the pivot points, so unless he hooks a rock with them or something I don't see where they'd cause a problem.

 

I just rolled over 30k and I've been avoiding looking at what I need to change...too much too get done

 

The Ford's rear end doesn't have a drain plug that I'm aware of--have to take the whole diff cover off. Ford says it's good to 150k under "normal conditions"...not sure if I'd run it that long, but I probably won't keep the truck past 80 so I may not bother changing it in the time that I have it.

 

I'm not getting the wings on mine, just a straight blade but it's that same model. My boss has the one with the wings on his F350.

Pro tip if doing plugs: take a piece of painters tape and fold it over the socket so half is inside and half out. It's just think enough it'll grab a plug in the head & not drop it, or hold onto a new one so you can get it in. I just use a regular deep well socket with tape and it works great. I just use Denso copper plugs every 30k from Toyota (07 4.0 calls for plugs @ 30k intervals).

 

I'm not buying snowshoes. I'll wait in the truck haha

Ford and Chevy I know don’t have drain plugs on the rear diffs. Easy enough to pull the cover though. I usually do diffs at 50k.

 

So what happened to "all I have to do is drink hot chocolate until the landlord shows up" ??

 

Town fair tire said that they base the front alignment on the rear on thrust angle.
That sound like bull shit to you , or anyone for that matter?
I talked to dealership service and he told me there is nothing. Any suggestions?
