What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

On the battery issue... same thing happened to my 14 a few months ago.

Started up fine leaving the house to drop off the kiddo at daycare. When I came back out after dropping him off, DEAD. No sign of anything.

Nope. It's a SR model/package. Even has smoked headlights. Only exterior cosmetic stuff I've done was debadge, dip the grille emblem, and black tails.

 

Yeah! I was supposed to go on the run over Stampede Pass last weekend with some local Taco-owners from the site, but had the flu. I'm hitting Tahuya this weekend with another guy from the site here and will be keeping on eye on that thread for another meet-up! Where are you located at?

 

Weird.. maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me.. really looks like you have color matched mirrors with the blinkers. I thought the base models had black mirrors. Did you buy used by chance?

If u do proper maintenance you should be ok. 3 yr old truck. My 93 just but a third battery in her last year.

 

Super clean, love it! Black looks so damn good on these trucks, just a pita to keep clean

 

I asked this in the suspension forum but this thread gets a lot of eyes so maybe someone has an opinion.

There's a black Friday deal thru Wheeler's for 20% off Eibach products and I was thinking about picking up these Pro-Lift Performance front coils: They say they add 2.5" and work with the 5100s I have in the front. Does anyone have experience with these and is there a reason I'd buy them over 887s? I like the price but I don't hear ppl talk about the Eibachs that much compared to the OME coils.

 

I'd switch it if I were you. My '15s battery died with no warning at all about a month ago

No tricks. Your eyes are right. Color matched mirrors with turn signals in them. Color matched flares, bumpers, door handles n all that jazz. 2012-2014 was when they offered the SR package, iirc.
Yes, I bought the truck used. They were many cosmetic options with the SR 2nd gen trucks.
