Instead of buying either of those (or both), I recommend getting a Milwaukee cordless impact. I think it is a better value for your money.

I have had this one for a while now: I am very happy with. I have tried it on the Taco's bed outlet and there just isn't enough current to loosen the lug nuts. On house current, it works great.

I would expect the new corded one to be even better, esp given the ratings.

I have this one too, I am imagine its larger and heavy compared to nicer ones but it gets the job done for the minimal amount of use I need.

    Agreed.

Yeah. It is a bit heavy but works great for me. I was looking at cordless impacts for years and just couldn't pull the trigger. I was ready to grab one of the HF ones, but the price and torque rating of this corded one was plenty. I gave up on most cordless tools a long time ago. For me, the inconvenience of a cord is offset by better, never ending power.

I picked this one up recently when it was on a rare sale: I also have an ancient HF floor jack (almost 20yrs old) that has not let me down. If I was buying now, I'd use the 15% off coupons that expire today and grab a Daytona. See the homepage:

Thanks. Looming for something to use at home.

Think it would be worth it for me to get the 'long reach'?

Or just use a 4x4 wood block?

I would always go with something that can reach without the need for a big block due to safety. I do use either a small 2x4 piece for frame protection. Something that thin won't roll off if the truck is rocked. Recently though, I bought one of these: I stuck it to the cup of the jack. Works like a champ.

What’s your opinion(s) on the 79cc predator engine? I’m replacing a 1984 Suzuki toro edger motor.

I've been happy with the regular Pittsburgh 3 ton jack...not the low profile one. The regular one gets pretty maxed out as it is lifting my truck since I have a 2.5" lift. I use my front skid as a jacking point since it's steel. If your truck sits higher you might want to look into a taller floor jack or one that has extensions.

They are Honda clones with cheaper parts. General rule I've seen is as long as you aren't maxing out the rpm all the time they will be just fine. If pushing them hard they will die. For 100 bucks it's not a bad replacement engine

Screenshot_20181121-202932_Chrome.jpg Great for getting under my Corolla and it also does a fine job of getting my taco with a 3" lift up in the air.

Wait for that jack to go on sale with a "super coupon" and you can get it for $75-$80.

I bought this when I needed to undo my rear leafs. I was hoping to be able to jack up a side of the truck with it. Didn't like it to much, and have yet to use again. I just use the small metal disk on the rear diff and front lift point now.

I bought a battery drill once from HF and the battery was shot within 6 months. Because of that I have never bought battery anything from them since. The new bauer, Hercules... lines look quite promising though. However with them not letting you use coupons on them and they charging close to name brand I'm still a bit scared to buy something that expensive from HF.
I have been very happy with my Ryobi combo kit I ought many years ago. A drill, impact driver, and have bought several other tools. I love my impact gun. I have a 12v charger wired into the truck behind the rear seat that i keep a battery on and the impact back there. Great if i get a flat, or more important for my lawn business where I am constantly changing mower blades.
