    WTF?
I definitely would have kept it then.

I did my first set of front squats last week. Was minimal weight but hey I was able to hold to weight up without my shoulder snapping off!
    225 is impressive.

Yea it's easy to back squat 225 but front is waaay harder. I wish I was strong enough to do more like @ThunderCookies and his 300lb front squat. I just haven't been training with enough frequency to get there.i haven't done bench in over a week. Bur it's hard to live that life when you have kids and travel for work.

Hey Guys! Using a combination of IIFYM nutrition and powerlifting/bodybuilding styles of training, I’ve made a lot of progress since I got serious about weight loss and training Jan. 1, 2017. Started at a flabby 260lbs at 6’1”.

Best lifts this year so far are a 411 deadlift for two, a 370 squat with sleeves for 1, and a 275 TnG bench.

Not numbers that will impress anybody, but from flabby weak computer nerd to someone who at least looks like he works out, it’s a good change.

Solid leg day today. Hit 385 for 5x5 squats. Trying to get back up to 415 where I was before I fucked my hip up.

Was your hip messed up from squatting or some other outside event?

Strained it when I got up to 415. I broke my right hip in high school wrestling where the hip flexor tore a chunk of bone off. Never really given me problems since. I now stretch a fuck ton more and do more hip strengthening exercises.

But can you do the splits? That's what really counts!

Sounds like it was painful, but at least you're getting stronger and smarter! 415 will be for reps soon!

Anyone else DL and squat on the same day? I've been wanting to increase frequency and I want to know if it has helped your numbers go up. I just need more lifting in my life. Will probably do both today even though I need to get some bench time in since its been about 2 weeks.

I do. Heavy squat day go lighter on DL's and vice versa. I've been primarily front squatting lately though, which is a lot less taxing on my back.

Awesome good to know! I'm thinking of doing that this week.

Also wanna brag a bit, but I set a new PR on bench. Did 285 for 1. RPE 8.5-9ish. I had some left in the tank, but my elbow/tricep tendonitis flared up again on my left side. Didn't wanna push it. I had my sleeves and wrist wraps too. Got me a spotter just in case. Last time I benched that heavy was when i did 275 for 4 a while back. Probably towards the beginning of the year.

Anyways. That helps the ego a bit and hopefully i can push past my numbers. Now I need to get my DL and squat numbers higher.

So plans today are to eat turkey and have a light workout because I'm going out of town to visit family, BUT my wife let me go workout with an old highschool friend who does strongman on Saturday.

TBH, im more excited about that than visiting my parents and siblings (long story)

Anyone in here using a Pioneer Belt? I got first place at my first Powerlifting Meet and got 150 dollars towards Pioneer. Gonna get it customized as well.
