Finally some pictures of a set on a truck and the fit is perfect they look great without a tent. These are being painted and shipped in the morning. These were made for a 2nd gen that is why the bolt holes aren't in line with the bed track.

 

I've got a fixture made on my certiflat tables. NO SHIPPING

 

downside to soft top is all that flapping noise ..

 

i dont notice any flapping noise w/ mine

Ok so I have a 2018 DCSB, how much do these weigh? Also how much weight can these 2 bars take?

Super interested in this set up as I offroad better with in my part if the country with a lower center of gravity! This is awesome! Definitely interested...also could tabs or mounts be put under the bars to hang something from underneath (sorry if stupid question, super excited about this prospect!)

Shipping weight was 40 lbs and they shop from 28056, usually between $40/$120. They are made from 1.750 diameter tube with a .120 wall thickness, the same material sliders are made from. If you flip your truck you'll need a new tent but you can reuse the bars.

 

Would you sell the plans with a NDA? I'm looking into this setup but shipping through the border is going to be expensive.

 

The design itself isn't key to the function, there are a few dimensions that are critical in making it all work and I could definitely help you out. How you bend or fab around those required dimensions is up to you.

 

I don't fab myself, I'd have them built by someone, hence the need for the design.

 

I'll get you some information together, do you have a fabricator in mind? Any good fabricator will be able to build you something with the numbers I get together.

 

Yes I have one in town who can easily do that.
