TSB-0058-18 Rev 1 and TSB-0125-18. Linking them together and telling the story gives the complete picture. 58 is AT only, but notes all the other info necessary. 125 is for 2017 MTs, but can be tied to 58.

What "clunks and shift ass pains?"

    They died a tragic death.

Haha... mine still has a slight attitude. Occasionally it clunks from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Regardless of how carefully I shift. So I'd love to have that problem handled with that accumulator delete.

Yeah the clutch has always felt like shit in certain circumstances. That delay effect really fucks with you on steep inclines/high load situations.
I feel like this is the last piece of the puzzle I need to take care of to sort out the driving dynamic on this truck. The TSB/tune was the other major improvement.

Yep. That tip toeing around the shifts goes completely away and feels like any other normal MT. Transformational to me.

That gets fixed with a new calibration (TSB or OVtune).

I also need to do Ovtune... I need to start a list lest I forget again

I need to add wheel spacers, trd center caps, AT tires, have the wheels powder coated, and all the other stuff you mentioned.

Oh yeah... a lift needs to happen before the tires... cuz Fuck you wallet...

X2, my truck never wanted to let me in reverse when it was new either.

I would try the TSB first. Plenty of guys are more than fine with it.
In my case, there was no relief from the shit calibration my truck shipped with in the fall of 2015. Almost two years into it, OVtune showed up. A year after that, Toyota updated their tune. Oh well lol.

Doesn't OvTune increase HP by like 27 tho? That alone would be worth the money. Along with the new throttle mapping (that's a thing right?)

22 top end on 91 octane.

The real advantage that you can use every day is the nice torque bump in the mid range (2200 to ~3200rpm, about +25ft/lbs). That's the game changer for me, and yes the throttle snap is really nice..

Edit: Oh and being able to use 2nd at low speeds without issues.. like in parking lots.

Haven't had any issues with reverse on mine... just the clunky clunks, and now the 1st downshifting problem

Good man... I too am a stickler for premium fuel. It's a habit that I wont break. Started on my Optima because it required premium fuel. So I just use it on all my vehicles now. Worth the extra few bucks a tank. Imo

I still get a clunk going into fifth unless I get it just right or blip the throttle.
Need to do the update or go OV.

Well in this case you match the fuel in your tank to the file you flash. Gotta run 91 or better for that power increase (and no detonation lol). With his latest round of files (1.05), Mat has introduced 93 octane files - and also modified Otto cycle stuff.

Well I guess I need not worry since the Taco will never see a drop of 85 Octane in its life.

That you will still get, even on the tune. You can't mail that shift in, ever lol. Blipping is easier on the tSB/tune though.
