The driver side is a little tight with the battery being right there so just take your time. You don't want to try to force it and risk damaging the new bulb.

One of my supervisors at the dealership has a 2010 DCSB TRD V6/auto 4x4 with less than 55K miles on it. The truck is Barcelona Red with a beige interior and my supervisor is the original owner. The truck has had the frame replaced, but is totally stock and in near-mint condition. My only gripe about the truck is that it has a short bed, which is smaller than the bed on my current Taco.

My supervisor is thinking of selling his truck and would want $23,000 for it. Even if I sold my current Tacoma, I still wouldn't have enough to buy it outright and would have to finance, which is something I really don't want to do on something that old.

    What do you guys think?

Since the frame was replaced, I wouldn't doubt the UCA's, and diffs are in perfect shape. You're better off buying one here in Texas, they don't have as much rust problems.

Also, my current truck is eligible for a frame replacement again...

Have you taken it for inspection? I got a letter in the mailbox, but mine has the original frame, and slight surface rust, so they won't do anything.

It's a nice fantasy, but I OWN my current Taco. No payments whatsoever and I'd like to keep it that way!

I asked your opinions before I talked to my dad...

Also, it has a short bed. If I sold my RC to buy another Taco, it'd have to have the same size bed!

If my supervisor's truck was a stick shift, I'd scrape the funds together and buy it in cash!

I'm at 89,991 right now, after making an ice run. It's about a 7 mile drive from work to my house. If my boss sends me on anymore supply runs, I will surely hit 90K on the drive home tonight (technically tomorrow)!

No, but I'd like to (A) get my money's worth out of the truck my dad gave me, and (B) have enough for a downpayment on a house by the time I'm 35.

Sounds like a plan. I’m a firm believer in save money and priorities but you also can’t take it with you when you die so have fun while you can.
