    Extortionware. We get them all the time - block the sender and ignore. They have nothing on you and are just trying to trick people who are actually guilty of things they have no evidence of.
    Just bots - not even a real person. They're programmed in Eastern Europe (IP address range from Lithuania to Romania) based on information previously gleaned from stolen marketing information traded on the dark web. They're not even the original hackers - they go off of account lists they bought from other people. They got nothing - they're just trying to trick people into paying. The real WTF is the people that pay these fuckers.
    More like 7.5 MPH.
    We get between 3 and 9 thousand a day to our work network. Almost all are dropped now. Our spam filters are getting much better at finding them though some really slick content filters. Thankfully the bots are dependable and don't change major text, so we can ID these and keep them from getting to lusers stooped enough to pay.
