I have my heart set on a Tundra as my next truck.

I'm also very attached to my silver RC.

I took the driver's test in that truck when I got my license.

I had that truck for literally the entire time I was in college.

I've had two girlfriends in the time I've had that truck.

My truck survived a collision with a drunk driver.

I have driven my truck literally all over Southeastern Pennsylvania (and parts of South-Central PA) going to car shows.

I just dropped about $600 on upgrading the sound system in my truck.

My truck has gotten about $3,000 worth of work (non-modifications; repairs and preventive maintenance) done to it since March 2018, including the front and rear brakes, the air-conditioner, and various fluids.

I am determined to see if I can make it to 200K miles without a major repair!

Luckily it's a family pet and my parents for all of that stuff.

FYI, I also have 11 fish in addition to the puppy!

I just cant get attached to vehicles like you do. Once you get passed your first one it changes. At the end of the day it’s just a tool that helps you do work easier.

    @Plain Jane Taco

Also, after spending a day with my truck in last week's freak snowstorm, I'm definitely convinced I can do just fine without 4WD for the time being!

I have a set of somewhat worn Michelin all-seasons on my truck right now, and I put snowchains on my rear tires last Thursday when we got the freak snowstorm. I would not take my truck out into a blizzard, but my truck was like a snowmobile with those chains on!

On the drive home that night, I passed a Hyundai Elantra and a Toyota Camry (both front-wheel drove, obviously) on a steep hill. My truck snowmobiled up that hill with little issue, and the Hyundai eventually made it too. However, the Camry got stuck. I drove to the top of the hill, parked, and the put my hazards on. I then went back down and pushed the Camry up the hill!

Unless I achieve my dream of buying an old Rolls-Royce, I guarantee you I will not get as attached to any future vehicle as I have to my current Taco.

Also, regular cabs are becoming more and difficult to come by, at least ones in decent condition with less than 150K miles...

If you think that’s a snow storm stay out of Buffalo NY. My grandfather laughs at the Doylestown drivers when you guys get an inch. I personally watched a Land Rover driving the flashers on going 15 in a 35. I think that was in late December 2014

My dad made it through over a foot in his '96 Pathfinder. I don't think it's a snowstorm. I'm just amazed how many drivers older and more experienced than me freak out in less than 6 inches of snow!

I was laughing cause you guys got about 4in that afternoon and the plows and salt trucks were out. I was dying where my parents live they won’t bring out the plows for anything less 8-10 inches

Also, my plan is to keep the Tacoma indefinitely, but retire it to "spare vehicle" status when I get something newer with 4 doors and all-wheel drive (Subaru Crosstrek!). I am slowly but surely "restoring" my RC. In 2025, my Taco will legally be a "classic" vehicle, which means no emissions testing and cheaper insurance. I'll buy something else and keep the Tacoma.

I really liked Oregon for tax purposes. I won’t be living in Portland or that country so I it won’t bother me.

In February 2003, when we were living in Fairfax County, we got a blizzard that shut down school for a week! This was the storm that my dad drove his old Pathfinder in.
