I’m thinking about getting a pair of RCVs

This means I have four CVJ axles to sell.

-Two new with high angle inners and OEM outers. $275 each. One boot is stained because they reused it from my almost new broken axle when rebuilt.

-Two used. Same build as above.

One has roughly 6k miles $175

Other has roughly 10k miles $150

In this configuration, these axles are $345 to your door from CVJ.

The new axles are ready to go now. The used axles will be pulled out when the RCVs arrive.

So I spent my morning prepping my frame on my 1st gen.
I used
This is the first time using this product. I usually use the CRC Marine corrosion inhibitor. Kind like fluid film.
But this stuff converts rust,finish comes out like a cereamic finish.
I didn’t take any b4 of the frame, but you can get a idea by looking at the skid plate and the cross member.
Will top coat it tomorrow.

 

A bit of topics from our Trucks. Anyone live in or around the Mountaintop area? I have received a job offer to move out that way and to be honest, never heard of the area until the offer came through. Currently live in Orange County, CA so a complete opposite location of where i am at right now.

Things to do? Places to go? Overall a good location?

Would appreciate some honest opinions, and of course, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Holly hell. California to Mountain Top Pa. I have never been to California but I have been to Mountain top, There is Nothing in MT worth going there for.A very good friend of my moved to MT about 30 years ago, I have gone to see him 6 times is 30 years.
Google Wilkes Barre and Scranton Pa are the 2 closest towns.

 

Thanks for the reply. Would it be better to live in either one of those towns? It would be a multiple site jobs, which they have a site in Wilkes Barre.

 

That’s just below Scranton & pretty much the middle of the Poconos. Tons of stuff to do up there in every season. Hiking, biking, Leigh River for canoe/Kyack/raft/fishing, also quite a few ski areas.
Much lower COL than where I’m at in Bucks County...
It’s about the same distance as me to Rausch Creek or AOAA for off-roading too.
That move would be a huge change of pace from Ca...

 

Mountain top is rural. Both towns I mentioned are depressed areas.
What business are you in?Is it a permanent position

 

Work in aerospace. Would be as long as i would want it to be.

 

Making six figures and living in that area you’d be livin LARGE.

 

I think that is exactly what i am going for. I could tough it out for a few years and be in a much better position financially thereafter.

 

Sounds like a no-brainer... also if your into shooting/guns Pa is the best.

If you like the outdoors, it’s not bad. Small town living, even with Wilkes-Barre and Scranton close. Good fishing and hunting, hiking, skiing, etc. If you or the wife are into city living, it’s not the place. But, NYC is about 70 miles away.

 

Well then have at it. We will be glad to have you.

I don’t know. He’s coming from Cali, so I figured he’s a city boy. I’ve never been.

 

I tossed it around as well, but I work at 1 on Sundays. I would have had to have run for an hour and went to work. Didn't seem worth it.
