New Harbor freight product from Apache cases. Comes with pluck foam. I'll be getting one for my roof rack spare parts box.

I use one of these as a camera case. So far it’s pretty decent.

running 17x9 myself. I would suggest going with a set of 285-75/17. right at about 34" with the Cooper St Maxx. And they fit with no tubbing. Generous use of a sledgehammer is required though. :D

Yup. It all started while driving along the Oregon coast in a downpour with insane winds. Gasket was fine but I'm guessing the wind and pressure deformed it enough to force water past.

Mine will not need to be water proof, just resistant. I'm going to drill holes to mount it to the rack without straps but might add a couple for lid security. I plan on adding venting for heat expansion if they are not already equipped.

Best Toyota tire size IMO. I run the Toyo MT on the taco or the GX, AT2 extreme on the wifes 5th gen, and AT3W as the daily tire on the GX. I tubbed my Dcab with the new tire size just cause I guess, way faster the second time!

The 285/75r17 is a great size. In the Toyo MT it was the same height as my 315s without the width. Doesn't give you the "riding on balloons" look.

    Should have bought 17s. :(

What do you think about the Toyo AT2s?

Debating between those, the new Cooper AT3 XLT, or just sticking with the Hankook MTs, all in 295s.

Drive out and get it, they are not that far. Unknown what the gas cost would be.

I think they replaced the struts with solid steel tubes so they don't have to worry about rubbing.

    All better than duratracs!

No wheeling with AT2 yet but balanced well, a little loud and good snow/ ice traction so far.

Email SCS I bet you can get some blemish 17's for "cheap" and sell your 16's for not much out of pocket.
