There are 2 temp sensors in the transmission (auto)trans temp in this screen would be awesome. It seems though you have have to buy a scanguage to monitor trans temp

Is there a way to prevent the cruise control from popping up it's messages (like cruise ready) on the screen. It is a major annoyance for me. I have checked the manual. And all the menus but can't get them to go away.

My wife’s base model 2015 Golf can show the engine oil temp on the small screen in front of the driver. It’s an MT, so I don’t know if the AT versions of the VW show trans temp, but it’s interesting that VW chooses to make that accessible to the driver. In general, it has far more info options than my 3rd gen Taco ...

Torque Pro on Android gives me Trans temp and pitch and roll. This is on my 2018 Sport.

Off road has pitch and roll so why do you have to look at your phone?seems like a software upgrade would do it?I think I saw a post by the sr guys about upgrading dash clusters and then changing radios and getting different stuff on the center display?Maybe if I put a radio from a off road in my sr5 I would get the compass and pitch and roll?

You must be talking about the lane departure may not be available below 32 Mph warning. Yea, it is annoying.

As for the read-outs, yes it is on Android. Its called Torque Pro. There is a free version called Torque Lite and I tried it for a few days but the ads were bothersome and you dont have access to many features. The Pro version was only 5 dollars.
You need a Bluetooth OBD 2 dongle. There are several kinds to choose from, I just got a cheap 12 dollar one from Amazon. You do have to remove the dongle everytime because it will continue to draw power. They do make some that have a on/off switch and I will probably look into that later on.

Edit to add some pics (not connected to truck)

The "check charging system" warning is there because you are using battery power but there is not any juice going back in. It's designed to let you know if there is a charging problem while the engine is running, but the system does not know the difference, all it knows is its not getting fed power.
