Yeah the ST is like 47 or something crazy like that. St maxx are heavy but for a reason. Hard to pop!

Well after a few days I feel I may have to give up these Toyo's. They run really big and rub, I really do not want to do the CMC mod, didnt think I'd have to as my other DC 255's did not rub. Around town these are not rubbing, but I can see they will once im offroad. Also these Toyo's ride so rough. My 83 Toyota rides better. I'm down to 30psi and they do not even bulge. Anyone else running Toyo MT have this experience?

Do you have stock suspension? The factory shocks are going to have a tough time dampening all that new unsprung weight. Especially if they are 7 years old.

No full OME setup, rode great with my other tires that were load E's as well. I'm not sure, maybe why I only see these tires on diesel trucks...

I have the TRD PRO "lift" with FN 16" wheels and Toyo M55. No rubbing at all but I can see that I will have to zip tie or heat form the fender liners for clearance off road IMG_1002.jpg

I am sooo torn on whether to stay with 16” wheels or go with 17” wheels for pizza cutters!

I am pretty sure I am going Toyo for tires.

Pros and Cons between 16 vs. 17?

There are fewer options with the 16" rim. I think the taller sidewall looks cool, and helps protect the rim a little better off road.

Downside is the taller sidewall flexes a lot especially when cornering hard on pavement.

I'm very happy with the ride. The M55 is a stiff tire and the ride is firmer for sure, but firm in a good way.

Plus they look kinda commercial/military style, which I like. They also measure big at 33.4x10.4 so they don't look too skinny.

I love the big sidewall but this response it spot on. Less options being the biggest problem.

When I get my next set I am planning to go 17" and hopefully a 34". :D

But I barely have 1k miles on my current set of 255/85-16

That's the problem with tires. They last too long haha.

It takes me 5-6 years to wear a set out.

I went through my ATPs in about 3.5 years. I do a good amount of miles as it is my daily.

I expect this new set (5) of Cooper ST Maxx to last a very long time. I have never done a 5 tire rotation before but from what I have read people are getting about 60k out of their 5 ST Maxx set! That is a ton for a very aggressive AT.
