Unless something changed, afaik, anywhere east of Sammamish issquah doesn't require emissions testing. I lived in North bend for 20+ yrs and actually my Tacoma is registered there to my parents house and get tabs each year without a problem.

Just looked, 2009 and newer are required to pass the state emissions standard to be road worthy and renew tabs. I guess there lies my out, I've never owned a vehicle newer than 09, and most have been as old or older than I am. I thought buying an 06 was a luxury. You can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy.

    I'm on fire tonight.:rimshot:

@JDAM are you required to do emissions at your new address? Edit: Nevermind I found my answer.

@Adude Just found it. Here's a list of zip codes that require emissions testing. North bend is 98045 Snoqualmie is 98065 and fall city, where I live is 98024. All three cities are not required to be tested for compliance.

You have it sort of backwards. 2009 and newer gas vehicles NEVER need an emissions test. 2007 and newer diesel vehicles never need a test now either.

2008 and older vehicles require testing still.

Damn I what I looked up when looking for houses in N.B 2 years ago said there was smog testing. The 04 tacoma is the newest thing I have ever owned as well. Every other rig was 95 and older, with the exception of a 98 tacoma. That gives me so much more hope now. I thought I had to move to Bellingham, Chehalis, or Cle Elum areas to get away from smog testing! Thanks guys!!!

there is the 21yr exemption still though right? vehicles manufactured before a certain year fall off and no longer need to be compliant? or did they change that too?

@bobsuruncle If it makes you feel any better, I burnt up my transmission after putting my PreRunner in the ditch last Christmas. It was a POS too, bad wiring harness and melted wires galore. I just wanted you to know you’re not alone.:fistbump:

In 2019, the oldest vehicle needing testing is a 1995. So there is an age fade out.

I’m back for the holidays, but decided a 5 foot bed is too short for a camper so looking at 8 foot bed F150 or F250. :annoyed:

    Garrrrbage gas mileage.

Hopefully looking at a regular cab F250 with a 6.7 today, there’s another F150 with the 5.0 V8 I’ve been talking to as well.

I just traded my 2015 double cab long bed f350 king ranch diesel in on my new Tacoma. I had a big ass front bumper and warn m12000 winch on it. On the highway I would get about 17-18. Prior to the bumper and winch I was upwards of 18-19 highway. City was 14s.

Would anyone be interested in helpin' a brotha out wiring my ditch lights? I can offer cash money in exchange (on the wagon, so no booze :/). I realize this is probably easy as hell for most of you, but I'm very much a wiring newb.

Available afternoon/evening Sat, Sun, Mon. I have the switch and brackets installed, so just need assistance with making sure the right wires go where they need to.

    Or I can kick rocks...

Does anyone have any recommendations for Cerakote? I’m in Puyallup. I’m trying to get my 870 done in matte black. All the blueing is wearing off.
