I have been seeing this shit for like 2 years now! I am still with verizon but just got my droid and very happy! I will i am sure I will get it if it does happen but we will see if it really comes threw!

 

AFAIK AT&T signed a 5 year contract with Apple to produce the iPhone exclusively for them. I don't think it's been 5 years yet, not sure how Apple will get out of that. I hope it's true that they are making one for Verizon, but I won't be holding my breath on this one. I'll believe it when I see it.

Meh, iPhone on VZW is useless. No GSM/UMTS (can't use it outside of the U.S. and other VZW coverage), no data use simultaneously with voice,.... and yeah, can't use it anywhere else but the U.S. because of lack of a SIM card.

 

I use my droid incredible in mexico all the time when i go down and build houses what are you talking about verizon had world phones?

Mexico uses CDMA as well (that is why I said other VZW coverage alike).

Honestly. Colin has a good source... everyone always takes facts out of the butt or "stretch" the truth.

 

That's why AT&T upped their contract cancelation fees to $350. Others have followed this trend too. They know their network sucks and the iphone is a big reason for alot of their customers. Watch how many people jump ship once they don't have a monopoly on the iphone. I personally love my rooted and overclocked moto droid.

Huh? Are you saying you tried calling from out of the country? Did you have the international calling 'activated'??

All I know is.... We went to Mexico in January and my husband went to Verizon and had them turn ON international calling (plus turned OFF his data so he doesn't get charged $$$ for that usage). He called home to talk to his mom a few times while we were down there and it worked flawlessly. Had the 'international calling' turned OFF when we got home.

 

Iphone coming to Verizon will be great my brother was thinking about swapping carriers just to get an Iphone which would have cost me a fortune talking to him!
