Cool thanks for the info. In terms of fitment under the hood in a 2nd gen - any issues with the sizes on the drivers side? I know 31's are big batteries..

Group 31's are very large batteries. You'll need taller J-Hooks (which come in my dual battery kit) and, depending on the battery you choose, you may need to extend your factory battery cables to reach the terminals. Group 35 and Group 34R batteries are drop in replacements.

Here is a pic of my 2015 Tacoma with a Group 31 on the drivers side and a Group 35 on the passenger side.

I like the idea of balancing the weight across both sides of the truck, but my TRD OR (has ATRAC). The note says it should work, so are you relocating it or can you just not see it in the photos for the battery mounted in the back?

    Great question.

All Tacoma TRD Off-Road models after 2006 have ATRAC. What you are seeing on your 2nd Gen Tacoma is called the "fuel resistor". Our battery tray relocates that module with an integrated bracket. No modification to the fuel resistor or its wiring is necessary. Simply un-bolt it, rotate it 90 degrees and attach it to the battery tray.

Here are a few pics for reference:

OGE has good customer service as well both during ordering and post install. Had a small problem recently 2 years after install and Matt responded with a fix.

Expensive, but easy to install and clean wiring.

@HeliMedic - Would two Odyssey 34-PC1500Ts work with this system?

It would be a tight fit on the passenger side but Im sure you could make it work.

Thanks. What normally needs to be done to make it fit?

Honestly, I don't remember what the limiting factor is. I think it is the AC lines. The tray was designed to perfectly fit a Group 35 (Odyssey part number PC1400). When I do installs at the shop, we always use the Group 35. So, unfortunately, I am not an expert on what it takes to fit a larger battery. I know people have done it though.
