Selling a set of these headlights, smoked if anyone is interested. Picked them up from Tacoma Beast and used them for about 6 months but decided to pick up the ‘15 Trd Pro headlights instead. Hmu for info or pics :)

338683A8-8C6D-4DAF-AE92-4585260B5E85.jpg So I have these headlights.. and i absolutely love them. The light output you sacrifice, but my LED fogs make up for the sacrificed light. I had to do trial and error with led bulbs that would fit these headlights because of the design, I have found that the h11 beamtech bulbs on Amazon works best and ive been running the for about a year with no issues.

What kind of bulbs are you running in your fog lights? I have the stock fog lights, and I hate the color bulbs that are in them with the lights I have in the headlights. Because of this I have just turned them off so that they can't be seen. I am liking what you have in your fogs though.

I am running h11 cougar motor led bulbs from Amazon in my fogs. They are very bright and reliable. Have had them almost a year as well with no problems.

Yes you definitely sacrifice the light output with the smoked lenses. The stock bulbs won't cut it.

I went to put mine in. They are not plug and play. There is are the plug for the headlight the hole for the factory DRL bulb, the hole for the factory turn signal bulb, AND an extra set of wires (red and black) coming out of the back.

The "extra" wires are for the led semi circle. I guess that way you can decide when you want them on and off and tap into the appropriate wires. I chose the fog lights, which I have modded to "always on" and switched to the dash. Now I can roll around during the daytime with just the fogs and the semi circles on.

I do need to get brighter DRL/turn and side markers now, though.
ETA: just ordered DeAutoLEDs for the DRL/turn and side markers. They seem to be well regarded for these particular bulbs, despite some drama regarding headlights and fog lights.

These are going to take some serious aiming work. I did a quick aim, but it got weird when I actually drove on the roads. I think they may be cross eyed. I could get to all the aiming bolts easily with a #8 ratchet except the passenger side up-down. I may have to take the washer fluid reserve off for that.

The actual light output of the included headlight bulb is not bad. The light is on the yellow end of normal for headlights, though. I prefer a whiter light to see with, and looking at it from outside with the lights on at night my LED fogs and even the semi circle surrounds seem to overpower the headlights. This is certainly not the case looking out from inside. I can see the road just fine.

The stock turn indicators are insufficient in these housings, to the point of safety concern. As noted above, I have already ordered new ones to address that. The stock side markers are pretty dim in these housings, and I have ordered leds, but I would not be concerned from a safety standpoint rolling around with them.

a long (6-8" ) phillips screw driver will get the aiming bolts without removing anything.

My semi-circle halos quit working on one side for some reason and is popping fuses. I just had to unhook them so wouldnt keep blowing fuse which also includes running taillights.
Dont know if i wanna try ordering another non-smoked set this time with 1yr. Warranty or just try retrofitting stocks for close to same $ and better lighting. Thoughts?

The main flaw I have with the design is losing the side factory amber parking lights. The replacement one in the HL is worthless so I had to rewired the setup. The LED strip is controlled in the cabin via toggle switch and I retained the factory parking light setup. This allowed me to just run the LED as a DRL and have the parking lights off.

Just ordered a set for my 09, Im curious if anyone has done a light output comparison between the low beam projector and high beam reflective bowl with the same bulb in both sockets. I know the come with supplied bulbs but they are pretty crappy bulbs.

Im looking at sticking with halogens and looking at getting the 55w Osram Night Breaker Lasers. I use led bulbs now and have had reliability issues, plus it seems like the projectors in these housings arent designed for a proper HID bulb.

Are those the "smoked" version of the headlight? I want to buy a set of these but I can't decide if I want the smoked lens or clear

I got the smoked lenses. Love the look but you'll definitely want to upgrade the lighting as its pretty dim for me with the dark lenses.
