One more wedding tomorrow and the season is over. I am so ready to be done with it already, the last two weeks have really dragged work wise. Luckily its around 100-120 people and over by 10, so it won't be bad and we do like the couple who is getting married.

Really looking forward to ski season and might even go get my pass today and do a run or two. Want to finish grooming a few trails for my parents to use tomorrow before the rain as well.

At least I got all my Christmas shopping done, well one or two things more for the wife, but all nephews and family members are done.

Don't even care. Zero shame. It's cold as hell, I'll get this oil change done at the dealer.

Just kidding. Looks like I'm going to do it myself since I've got to pull my whole skid plate out :annoyed::frusty:

    Edit: Oil filter cover.
Highly doubtful its metric hardware because everything else is standard . 7/32 is a no go and 3/16 just stripped it first tug. What crappy hardware.

Sounds like you are gonna have a blast today. Supposed to warm up in a few hours, might want to hold off.

Glad I got a skid with a hole for oil changes. Maybe sketch a mod to your skid to make a removable plate while you are waiting for the sun to heat things up.

Just edited it before you posted it. It's a rci skid*. It had the plate for the filter. First one came right out. The other stripped instantly

I have the same one then. I found they were sort of a PIA to install vs other skids i've used on vehicles. I'm still on dealer oil changes for the new truck so I haven't had to mess with the hardware since installation. Hopefully the rest come out easy.

Yup. As soon as I put the Allen in there I knew it was going to suck. Really crappy fit.

Off to home Depot for hardware and round stock now so I can pull the skid off and weld a chunk to the head to spin this out because there are zero points left after one quarter turn.

Btw Its covered in salt. I have the aluminum skid. So I wonder if they used aluminum hardware
Just as a PSA, FML it is metric. 5mm Allen. M8x1.25

Haha this is what I get for bringing my at home tools to work . I just had my folding American Allen's from the junk drawer in the kitchen. I pulled up the rci installation instructions and saw everything was imperial. So even though a 3/16 didn't fit great I just figured it was crappy hardware because it's just a keeper and not load bearing, and that it was still merican'.

Oh well. Got a spare hex bolt....because the depot doesn't carry Allen button heads in metric, and a ratched drive Allen to give her a round two.

...with beer in hand. It's 22* now anyways . Warm enough for me to be over it. Haha

    I appreciate it Bill!

Going going for round two. Plus I'm going to put it up on the New England sales page too, but is anyone looking for some fog lights? 2017 OE, but they may fit up to 2012? Not sure if someone more knowledgeable can confirm that.

I spent my 20's working in sub 30* weather, welding in a foot of water, for 12+ hrs a day. More often than not I spend 20 minutes in a 90* steam tunnel underground sweating and then hopped out to weld in 14* weather for a few hours, and repeat .

Haha I'm well past being uncomfortably cold unless it's a necessity. And in this case , it doesn't really matter.

And you ran on Turkey day? Why? What was chasing you?
