So here is the update.. I failed the frame inspection. Need new frame. Now need to accumulate stock parts temporarily.


Super unbuild!

 

new frame kinda sounds nice honestly... not as nice as a factory galvanized frame from the get go but hey what do I know.

 

Davids truck in 6 weeks. The ultimate unbuild.

Makes me wonder if mine was that bad. Bought it new Aug 09, so mine would be about as old as yours. I never hit mine with a hammer. Kinda want to track it down and crawl under with a hammer to find out.

 

Got most of the parts collected. Picking up the ubolt plates this weekend possibly, and stock tires next weekend. Then the real unbuild can start

 

Probably easiest to just cut them off at the legs then get new plates reattached. Still a pain.

 

The frame failed so just some bigger people to jump on it. If the frame breaks he gets ectra metal fir tge new frame.

 

why do you need stock tires?

 

Yes. Just asked for an outlet to plug in my extension cord for the angle grinder.
10 min later I was rolling out of the parking lot.

i used a jigsaw and bed outlet in my hotel parking lot for cutting bedsides

 

Also 35s no lift we all know that won't work

 

Take the fenders off for a little while.

 

Can be easily done. Lift has zero to do with tire size fitment - it’s all about how much are yue willing to cut?
