    Hmmmmmm

I wonder if it will see a deer in the road not covered in foil.

OP, stick a few sandbags on some saw horses and get the taco ready, sounds like we need datapoints.

And dont forget the camera this time.

Is the deer made of cardboard? If so, then no.

My wife’s Prius brakes at light shrubbery. I’d guess the radar should be able to also detect boxes.

If someone wanted to make a legit post on this, "fuck" would not be in the title and the actual test would be more descriptive than a bunch of boxes and a crowd.

why do you care so much about a feature that replaces your need to know how to FUCKING DRIVE?

if that feature is ever used on my daily that has it, the first thing im going to do is punch myself in the face for being a idiot...

well i for one am not posting a sarcastic response to this. although i did not buy my tacoma for the tss, i would expect that the system should work properly. you shouldve taken a video of it and i bet toyota will respond to it.

Yeah I know, that is why I said "Kinda of" legitimate.

The problem is this could have been a legitimate discussion. I mean the system we are talking about NOT working is the same system that has been touted to help reduce instances of tragedy. For instance the lady who passed the bus and hit the kids in the 3rd Gen Tacoma, this system is supposed to reduce the likelihood of tragedies like that. and a discussion about that system not working almost instantaneously deteriorated into a "dumpster fire" it is just too bad really. This is why most car people don't take TacomaWorld seriously as an enthusiast forum and it is looked at more of a joke.

Unfortunately I have seen many forums go down this path. It comes down to moderation, if the mods don't stop infantile garbage like this early on, it the fire just rages on and burns the site down. That is why Threads like "The dumpster fire thread" are actually important to the preservation of legitimate discussion. Garbage posts can be contained to one area where legitimate posters just don't ever visit and the kids can play with themselves and each other in those threads all they want!
