I would switch to regular grade 8 bolts. If it gets smushed, You can still slot the bolt head or trim sides of the bolt head to fit a wrench.

This is what @Skierrichy is doing in this pic. Grinding the bolt head so a socket can fit.

That's what I'll end up doing and just using some dielectric grease to keep the oxidation down from the aluminum on steel.

I've got the universal key for stripped bolts anyways. The Miller welder.

    Ps Git sum @Skierrichy !!!

You're going to be stoked. They're awesome .

The 3 platic tabs for the light relax after you pull the OEM one out. But if you start the screw and then give it a good tap they find their way.

    The wife of course.

She registered for this run the day before. She knows I won’t let her run alone and she always double dares me that she can beat me.

She does everything she can keep me alive and healthy making sure I can work and we get the girls through college.

After that, all bets are off.

    Ninja style.

FWIW, I went out hunting behind the house for a couple of hours in 3 degrees (before the windchill), but called it quits around 9 because I had to start Thanksgiving dinner.

Yeah. If you don’t wear something covering mouth and nose, you start breathing in ice cold air and start freezing from the inside out.

I thought you said you have Mobtown skids.

    Those are clearly RCI skids.

I had the same RCI aluminum skids until I sold them after I bashed them and crumpled them like they were aluminum foil.

Any recommendations on a place to get a remote starter installed around Springfield? My dad wants to get one put in his 2005 Tundra.

    Is this week over yet?
Caved in, and ordered tires. Trying something different. Nothing aggressive or ridiculous.
The stock goodyears... Ive had to use 4wd 3x to get out of my driveway.....
Also, kinda half keeping an eye out for some stock steelies, be they spares, or... whatever, for some real tires....

Installed the ECT always on switch while on the phone with work....

    Finished some wiring.

Need to finish running the conduit for the subpanel, and figure out how much wire I need....

So, made a decision tonight, going to Montana this winter! Anyone got any ideas as far as best place to stay? So far we got some dog races in Jan-Feb we might try to time it up for, but interested in snowmobiling, snow shoeing, skiing, just sitting and looking at pretty things etc... Any of you folks ever been out there?

Had the dealer install one on my wifes 4runner and my dads highlander. I installed my own on the taco, one of the 3 lock starter ones floating around here. Was actually really easy after watching a youtube. One dealer wanted like 7-800 dollars, but the one closest to me only wanted like $350? Haddad in Pittsfield, I know its a bit out of the way

Got the driveway done today. Fuggin cold out there! Stayed outside from 6:30 AM until about 5ish. Driveway was a slop hole 2 days ago and was frozen solid today, gave the excavator a pretty good fight. Spreading and grading the cuttings is a lost cause, it's all massive frozen chunks...
