Anyone else really slow at doing stuff?

Took me 2 hours to install my aFe Stage 2 CAI... First mod and I am not very mechanic savvy Oh does it feel good to be finished and it does sound pretty nice. I read it should help with towing a little, so we shall see next weekend when we pull the camper.

Anyone else slow like me? I went over the estimated time by 1:30 LOL

 

Yeah I was like that with some of my mods as well. It all depends on my mood and I never had any help so I did everything by myself.

 

Had to buy the wife a new battery for her car, so I started around 9. Didn't end till 11... BAH

 

Im slow at doing stuff also, i rather quality over quantity.

 

I'm slow at stuff because of the beer or ganja brakes

Took me about 2hours to pull my head, and put it back on.. im slowwwww

 

Took me 2 hours to put on CO's.... By myself..

 

I do. Working on my vehicle is therapeutic so, just like in the gym, I take my time and actually end up enjoying it.

 

took me 7.5hrs on sat, to install 3" spacer and aal on left side of truck. then 4.5hrs on sunday fro right side. is that slow?

Absolutely.

 

If I worked that slow i would loose my job... although when you do this shit 8+ hours a day five days a week you tend to be a bit faster. when its your own rig who cares how long it takes as long as it gets done and is done right.

 

I'm not that slow but I do usually take my time when I do stuff. Again, I'm more for the quality part over speed. Also, at my job... quality is #1... sure getting it done in a reasonable amount of time is needed but screwing one thing up can cost a lot more down time and literally possibly millions in damages. So yes... speed can be an enemy.

Plus, working in the summertime here... I usually work for 7 min, break for 20 in a/c... work for 7 min... break for 30min a/c lol... (maybe a slight exaggeration ) Of course I'm talking about outside on my truck, not at actual "work."

 

This took me two days.

 

dude, ganja breaks are all bad. it took me 3 hours to change oil one time cause of one.....

 

I'm all OCD when doing work on my vehicles. Something about not liking the side of the road due to overlooking something.

 

Oh hell yes. Hours for everything. Like, I didn't even attempt to replace my shocks with coils, even though it's supposed to be in and out. Adding Hella's took me 3 hours. Doing the rear cabinet locks was at least 1 hour.

It doesn't help that I don't have power tools, but shit, I'm a doctor. I can't figure out anything more complex than a scalpel. Props to those guys that actually have a blue collar.

 

Took me over 8 hours to put in my head unit, dash kit and steering wheel interface. I wasn't in a big hurry, but still, seems like a long time.
It all worked on the first try though, and that's more important to me than a speedy install.
