Keep this thread going, men! I'm seriously considering this for my next tire size. I'm hoping a slightly aggressive cmc and removing my fender flares will get me there.

    Currently running KO2 34x10.5R17. a.k.a 'fake 34's'

Did you fender trim for 34? Did you fender trim for 35? How much more work are 35s?

34's clear well. I had no CMC, just fender trimming and I cleared just fine with 34's. 35's on the other hand require so much more work, it's crazy. 34's do look really narrow and small in comparison.

Edit. You will need to cut, bang, and smash stuff to fit these offroad. Set your caster high for these 34’s. They are also a heavy tires.

Perfect- I run tall and skinny now and I love that look (255/80r17) but I want taller without cutting the fenders. Plan on CMC and pinch welds. Also already gonna regear even with the 33s. Good to hear.

My friend did 35's, and he wheels hard, and the amount of work he had to do to get those to fit was insane. At one point you could stare up into the cab from his wheel well lol. Watching him do that was a guarantee I'll never want 35's.

You could certainly get away with doing a lot less if you never go offroad of course.

If you plan on offroading, you still need to cut fenders. The second you start tucking, you’ll start rubbing. My truck yesterday...

Yup, that’s how it goes. My plan is to keep offroading, seeing what rubs, smashing it with a sledgehammer, and repeating till it fits. Tubbing will be necessary.

Another necro bump, planning on ordering some at/3’s in this size. I regeared to 4.88s in my 4banger and with 275/70-17’s I’m at 3k revs at like 62 mph. I noticed tho that the coopers are 57#’s per tire which is 1# less than the mtr’s I have now. So almost 2 inches of tire without a weight penalty sounds incredible, with the added bonus of being way less over geared.

Those revs might go down with the larger tires.

Exactly, that’s really my only remedy.... dang...

With the “34’s” it drops my revs to about 2750 at 70 which is much much better lol
