To me the taping was a pain. When I did mine it was snowing outside and 20 degrees. Did the spraying with truck in garage. Have heat but blower is on farthest wall away from where I sprayed plastidip. It turned out decent and has held up around a year. Picture is recent.

Nice job, I kept messing with it as I had time today and finally got a 3rd clear coat on. I think I may still try again this weekend. I do plan to either vynl the letters/badge or paint again. I just taped and cut with a knife.

I masked it so the "wall" inside the v shape is still black. I think I sprayed at least 6 coats of dip on it. Wish I was skilled enough to paint the embossed K&N on my intake tube. Funny thing is I rarely open the hood but, when I do, I like the way the color pops. I think I took the idea from @KTJO 4x4 and I think hers is orange on her red truck. To me yours looks fine. Much better than all dull black.

Mind if I use your idea for inspiration? I'm fully blacked out except a blue front hook and blue interior trim lines. Really digging the idea, and like that color pop!

Yeah. I definitely wouldn’t go back to the all black one. To me it brings character to a location that is hidden but stands out when you look under the hood. I even had Wilsonville Toyota mention how they should come stock like that. I dipped the whole thing all together and then just used something to cut around the edges of the sections I didn’t want to be red and peeled off the rest. It was supper easy. You just need to put enough coats on.

It looks orange but it’s actually red.

I used them to push the wheels out. Not sure if anything would rub without them.

Just got the Fox 2.0 IFP Coilovers Fronts and Rear set today (Black Friday). 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers getting ordered today too. Ugh, my wallet.
That's my plan eventually as well. Although, lots of californians are migrating to Idaho and prices are going up.

Yesterday I pulled into the garage for a last coat of wax before winter. Opened the bed to find a half gallon of flat enamel pooled around some tools. It took about 1 full roll of paper towels to clean it up

Wax turned out good as always though

Need to figure out why my washer pump stopped working. At first I thought i ran out of fluid, it seemed as if it did. So opened the hood and it's full. When I pull the lever the wipers move but no noise from the pump..

I noticed that. I hardly recognized CDA when I was visiting home last summer. Houses that once were like 150k are now in the 400’s. It’s a shame, but I always knew that it would eventually happen. Beautiful state with awesome laws and low cost of living is impossible to keep a secret as soon as everyone finds out that potato farms are only in the south.
