I knew you were gonna ask that! I have a difficult time getting an accurate hub to fender measurement due to the wheels I run being pretty deep dish.

For hub to fender I think I’m sitting around:

    DF 23
    PF 23 1/8
    DR 23 5/8
    PR 23 3/4

For ground to fender and 265/70R17 (31.7” tall) I’m sitting at:

    DF 37 7/8
    PF 38
    DR 38 1/2
    PR 38 5/8

This ended up being about a 5/8” rake which looks really good to me. From a distance it looks almost perfectly level with an empty bed. We better stay on topic or change threads to talk more about the Bilsteins.
    ;)

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'll read more in the 6112 thread and post up in there if I come up with more questions so I don't detract too much from the JBA UCA discussion. This is all very helpful.

Hey @PreTaco170, I agree with @boostedka, very helpful. I went back a few pages but missed what you have for rear springs. Are you running an AAL or a leaf pack replacement? The 5/8" rake is on point. I like a level looking truck so I'm wondering about your setup. I'm 95% sure I'm going with Icon RXTs, but would love to know your setup.

I’m running the OME Dakar leaf pack with the third leaf removed. This was the older style pack that came with all seven leaf springs.

I believe you can order it two different ways now depending on your needs. One with only six (third leaf removed) and one with all seven. Don’t quote me on that though because I haven’t been in the market for one so I’m unsure.

Anyone with a first gen have clearance issues? On the web site it warns about rubbing on the second gen but doesn't say anything on the first gen. I've got 295/75 on 16x8 with 4in bs.

You’ll be fine as in you won’t rub your UCAs. Still gonna rub elsewhere.

Figured so, got a CMC in the works too, plus some plastic trimming.

    Thanks for the confirmation!

I have the same wheel specs, expect a super aggressive CMC and lots of plastic trimming. Ive cut away most of the cab mount and im still rubbing slightly off road

On your 2011 or a 3rd gen? Where was the majority of the plastic trimming at? Where are you still rubbing? Some extra info would be nice

TRD Baja Kit with JBA UCA's 1/2 inch spacer on top, Medium Dakars with BAMF hangars and super bumps all around. 285/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's on graphite TRD faux beadlock wheels. Pro skid powder coated black with Pelfreybilt aluminum mid skid and aluminum gas tank skid.
I just put Cooper Discoverer At3 XLT 285/75/16's on 2 days ago and the passenger side rubs on the plastic near the cab mount but not on the cab mount. I did trim that little bit and it doesn't seem to be rubbing anymore but I'm getting an alignment done today because of the new tires and it now doesn't drive as good. I need to get back to 3 degrees of caster because it drives so much better. I'm on stock OR wheels with 1. 25 inch spider tracks wheel spacers and no rubbing anywhere else. I have a feeling after the alignment they will rub up front but we will see.

Hmmm I was set on buying SPC UCAs but came across this thread.
I am planning to run bilstein 5100s on OME 888 coils / Dakar leaf pack and 17x8.5, -10 offset, 4.3 BS wheels on falken wildpeak at3w 285/70r17.
Which UCA would be a better option for me? I am trying to avoid doing a CMC but wont know that until I put the lift and wheels on the truck.

You'll likely need it with either brand but you could also fall into that category of special people that don't. From what I read, you can't group any one truck into any same category. Apparently every other one is different. And yes, I am talking same model and model year, same wheels, same tires, same suspension.

What you need to do is compare the technical specs of each brand and decide which you want. For most, myself included, and trust me, I am very green in this arena, I rely on the recommendation of my close forum friends to steer me in the logical directions. Selecting the JBAs was no different. It was suggested to look for something that allowed the most caster, a serviceable ball joint, with zerk fittings, that was backed by an excellent manufacturer for a reasonable price. Something that would stand up to my limits of off road capabilities which will be light to medium. I also wanted something that worked with my setup with minimal changes to anything else.

I went JBA and don't regret a thing.

Now I am not suggesting anyone else try this but.....

On my way home from the city, there's an inclined roadway with a single RR track that is perpendicular across, and is naturally flat. Before I got my lift and uppers, when I went over those track, the front would dive and nearly bottom out and the rear would almost get airborne, at just 40 mph. After the change, the tires stayed planted to the ground and I could barely feel the tracks. It became a minor woop action. I have been increasing the speed to test it. The other day I hit it at 55 mph. It felt the same. I would love to set a vid camera up on the side of the road and do it and see what it looks like. But I can feel all four of my tires never loosing traction and the suspension cycling through all phases like some sort of baja race truck. It's incredible how smooth it is.
