What's going on y'all ... Just got me a new 17' Tacoma Limited and looking to join and interact with the club. I always wanted a Tacoma specifically, but never purchased it until now. I hope to have many discussions and input on here with y'all and vice versa.

Couple things I'm planning to do to my vehicle..... So looking also for some good advice from all you TacoDudes.

    1. I'm looking to get a leveling kit...... I feel it's the best option considering I only want a slight lift, but nothing major. What do y'all recommend or suggest? I've read alot about the 5100's? Blocks? Not quite sure just yet.

    2. Looking for the best sounding exhaust with the most performance; suggestions? And why?

And last, for now..... looking for a good powerful Cold Air Intake system.

Look forward to throwing stuff back and forth!

    Regards,

    Ethen

I'd save the money your going to spend on the CAI and even the exhaust system and spend it on the wheels your going to want after the leveling kit. Not that the wheels on there currently are bad.

Haha, I have thought about that... Good point, lol. But ultimately right now - looking to get good fuel mileage out of it. The tires.... Which I'm not sure what size to get yet.... Will come right after the two others for sure though.

I mainly want to make it look like the photo attached to this comment....what siZe lift and tires you think this red one has?

I'm no expert but that looks like a 6 inch lift with 33 inch tires on 18 inch rims. IMHO there are better ways to get that tire size on your truck with a more functional lift, but ultimately the look of your truck is up to you.

Welcome to TW... The red truck appears to have a 4-6 inch lift. I have a 4 inch lift on my truck but keep in mind that if you lift your truck over 3 inches you’ll need to install a drop bracket. If that’s the stance and look you want then be prepared to cut your cross member .

So ultimately if I do a 3" lift in the front and 1" in the back - I should be alright? Without having to do any extra work to it?

What's the best route to take if so? Bilstein 5100's or simply a 3" block in the front and 1" block in the back?

They sure are my friend.... Been out here for the last couple of years.... With the oil boom... Before that I was always flying up to NoDak. Too cold though and won't ever go back up there.
