But it does. Radial tires should be rotated front to back back to front. I've seen belts break in them when rotational direction is changed. Hey, you know me though as long as it works have at it!

I just went and Googled it. Apparently I am just old and do things the old way. It now has you changeing rotation during a rotation. I stand corrected but too late to throw the spare in now I guess with 40k on the tires. I learn something everyday I don't mind being wrong I should be used to it by now

Installed the bubba rope grabber today.

    https://www.bubbarope.com/the-grabber

The purpose is to replace the little screw and crimp that hold the line to the drum, and instead just use friction to hold against itself. Works very well. With the grille off as well as the headlight support bracket thing, there was enough room to put it on with no issues.

When I took my winch line out to clean it originally, I noticed the inner sleeve was chafed. I didn’t find any burrs on the drum, so my only guess is it was the bottom lip on my bumper barely coming in contact. Filed it down and told joe and he’ll update the bumpers from here on forward.

Overall I’m happy with the bubba rope thing. It seemed to work very well.

How hard was it to wire those pods? Did you wire independently so that you can turn them on using a switch near the steering wheel?

    A thing or two...
That's an interesting little doodad. I know my Smittybilt winch instructions said to do 10 wraps just under hand pressure before hooking the line to something and spooling the rest under weight. Did you count those 4 wraps as part of the initial required wraps or did you do the requisite number of wraps after that before spooling in the rest under weight? Don't know if it would make a difference either way. Just curious.

I counted those as part of the 10 wraps! I don’t think it’ll make a difference though. Either way, when I get that low on my winch drum I jusy break out the winch extension strap usually. I’ve only been that low once I think.

I need to get around to touching up some surface rust on my rear pelfreybilt bumper from gravel spray. What method is best to get off the rust spots and what paint should I use to best match the matte powdercoat?

Oh man that 3 jaw puller is a good idea. Both times I've done mine I've used a hammer and punch and just slowly worked my way around it.
