I want to go, but that's a bit far.

 

The front diff pinion bearing is gone on my truck. But im debating it. I have manuel hubs so I can always unlock it. How rough of a route is it?

 

I’d be down. Just got to have the 4Runner packed and ready to go. Coming back from Chicago the night of the 7th.

 

You’ll likely not need 4x4. This is more of a camping, hangout and get drunk trip. I think the cool kids call it overlanding, but I don’t fit in with the cool kids.

 

I put the request in to get the 7th off. We'll see what the boss says Monday.

We ate early, which turned into an almost painfully boring evening without much to do. I ended up playing around in the basement garden a good bit.

 

Got this at Northern this morning, only thing I went shopping for. Missed out on a free box that had another battery and the grinder.( they ran out of those just before I got their)

 

Anyone in here know what brand of impact sockets to stay away from? I need to get some metric sockets because it only came with standard. I was thinking maybe Craftsman.

 

I got a set of Ingersoll Rand deep well from Northern Tools a several years ago for $20 a set, they’ve held up fine

 

Oh cool they gave me a $25 gift card today, I’ll look at those soon, I’d like to find a set/box that will fit in the bag with the everything els. My brothers and I got dad an ingersoll rand air compressor from Northern several years ago and he loves it.

 

hey any of you peeps know what the torx bit sizes on the taco are? (the bed bolts and any other torx bit sizes.)

thinking about getting a set of torx impact sockets.

 

55 and 40, I’m not sure there are any others (at least not that I can think of). Unless you’re using them regularly on something else I’d just go with harbor freight. I’ve only used them a handful of times including the truck and everything else.

And you probably don’t want to use an impact on the bed bolts. I don’t think the torque spec is that high on them

 

Cool thanks! I would probably only use it to take the bed bolts out and use my torque wrench to put them back in. I never have had to take them out, but I figure I’d get an impact that fits Incase I do. IThat’s what I have done when I have borrowed an impact to do my wheels.


Come to think about it I think my bed has shifted just slightly some how. I can fit my hand better on one side than the other between the cab and bed.
