You are absolutely right, of you look at youtube videos of the trail from years ago, that rutted section is not even close to as bad as it is today.

I bottomed out the Jeep in that section and I’ve got some decent clearance. It’s a shame. I used to ride that trail with my girls quite often and I am not sure I’d do it if I still lived there. Too rutted out and some sections are now just plain sketchy.

You know Ima dreamer, and my heart’s offroad. I had to drive away high, so I didn’t get stuck low. Home Sweet Home...
Looks like FUN! esp if the rains keep it up... BUT, I will not be free then. Even if, after dinging my step sides on the last run through there, I want to lift her a bit before going back through.

    What about @Dhannah @CaptainAmericaTRD @kgard @mxjagracer @o0oSHADOWo0o @toysrgood @Matic @FadedComa @ovrlndkull ???
Thats the list I have from our run back in August (11th, I think) You can search the thread back for more info.

I didn't make it last time. Had something come up. Might could go next weekend.

It's rutted pretty good about a half mile from I-40 buts that the worst part! A friend took a picture of that! I got a lift and haven't had the time to put it on! I'm going to give it a go anyway! There is about 5 rigs going! We are meeting some at the westbound rest area before the trail head on I-40

If I can get my rear pinion seal changed before then I would be down to go. Part just arrived today, now need to find some time.

Was that you with us in August, Adam? I was trying to search up "@bravestaco95" when I realized I must have written the wrong user name down...

Yeah that was me. I got the 95 taken off because I was getting mixed up with another member and kept getting random tags all the time.

I think it is one of a few that does. Another way to identify it - it starts right off of I-40 W past Harmon Den.

I was there but I wasn't in that photo. I was with @Dangerdave and John in the 80 series land cruiser.

Thanks! I’m gonna come up there around New Years and do a little solo backpacking. Depending on the snow/ice level I may hit y’all up to run hurricane again.

That was a good time! It was nice meeting all you guys. Sorry for bailing on the back half of the group! :notsure:

Gotcha. I was at max patch awhile back and saw some jeeps coming down a trail in the corner right after max patch parking. Was thinking maybe that was it.

Entrance is just before exit 7 for Harmon Den off i40. But the north end entrance is up by Max patch itself. Another exit is close to hwy 209 in Crabtree
