This should probably cross post with the

"This so perfectly describes this place sometimes. LOL" thread.

I'm gonna be swapping out my grill in a couple weeks. Watched a few videos where a few painted their radiators black, so you cant see the shiny ass thing.

Any of you guys painted your radiators?

I know Eastman makes a radiator paint, but seems like a light mist with any kinda high temp paint would work.

Are you talking about your AC condenser? It's not painted for a reason.

Talking about the radiator, the AC condenser is already painted black from the factory.

All the grill changing videos I've watch, they all had black radiators except for 2. Both painted them black. They were putting on I guess a pro grill...the one with Toyota across it.

Guess I'll have to wait to get the grill to see how it's gonna look with a silver radiator.

This is the grill I ordered. It may be OK with the radiator as is.

I installed a pro grille on a Sport. Everything was black from factory.

I had the hideous stock grille out as soon as I got home from the Dealership.

Did you paint your radiator or leave it be?

Got any after pics if you didn't paint it?

Here is a partial shot, you cannot see the radiator thru it.

Modified the level of gas in the tank
You have some odd type of corrosion on your battery there.

    CooL.

I think it's the best looking grill I've seen for the Tacoma's, and the price is most good. It's billet instead of plastic too.

Should get it around the first week...10 days in Dec.

Pro grill here and I didn't paint my radiator. Unless you are looking specifically for it and in the right lightning situation, you don't see it. It's not like the stock radiator is shiny =). And a Pro grill or similar config is so far forward of the grill pattern that it's effectively invisible.

I wouldn't paint the grill. If it has any chance of interfering with heat transfer it's not worth it. And even if you don't know, and decide you need it later, it's a 10 minute exercise to get the grill off to do the painting.

This thread has me curious as to why some rads are black and some are silver. I'm wondering if it's bc the ones with a certain color were made in Mexico and the other color was made in the U.S.

So can you guys post if your radiator is black or silver and if the car was built in the US or Mexico?
