Kinda funny how life works. Moved to SF from CO mtns around 8 years ago (work) in my TRD OR White manual access cab, god I loved that car. Clearly could not park that anywhere much less on hills so...I sold and went to a effing MINI if you can believe it haha.

Fast forward and I am now moving home and back to CO and I came off the lot yesterday with a new 2019 Black trd OR (tech package).

I forgot how the initial purchase is just the start of lighting money on fire. Anyway, doing the rounds looking at mods to do etc. I am all ears but going to start small (kinda).

Ordered and picking up a snugtop rebel next weekend.

    - debadge
    - looking at the clazzio covers (I think I would have these already if I could just settle on a color, although waiting to confirm they fit '19).
    - interior LEDs
    - cheapo organizers
    - Would love a pro grill but have not found a decent link on that

Eh, thats what I got so far, no pics yet as nothing has been done to it really so. Pumped to be back in the club.

PS - get me the eff out of cali asap, thanks!

PPS - going over the amazing and inspiring platform/bed/drawer threads, a must do once I get settled back in CO!

Tell me about it. I've had my OR for three months and I'm already into mods $13,800 and I've been trying to be conservative with my spending.

Yes buy your shit now so you already have it when and if you get married. I'm fortunate to have a cool wife who is also a Toyota holic, into offroad racing and was in on all the Tacoma mods.

The biggest thing i DID and AM still grabbling with is the 5 ft bed. After god knows how much back and fourth I decided dbl with short bed and if and when I do a platform for camping I will suck it up and do the diagonal deal. I am more of a tent conventional camper regardless but sure was nice to know when I had the access cab I could lay out normally. Oh well, the room and functionality beats the slight regret. Anywho, thanks for the responses so far!

Convincing myself I'm okay being forced into an automatic to go with a DCLB is the only thing keeping me from buying. Six foot bed, or MT. Toyota is a bastard for making me choose.

I feel your pain, quite literally the only the thing I have second guessed (for the past year in deciding) but whatever, I will cross that bridge later I guess. Cheers!

I’ve spent about $8600 on mods so far, but I still have quite a list. Next spring I want to get a low profile winch bumper for the front and a new back bumper. Might also do a shock upgrade.

I guess that is why I started with a console organizer HAHA although I suppose the snugtop counts.

BTW I shockingly got a pretty damn good deal (or at least "fair) on these if anyone is in the bay area. My memory of snugtops and the price variation between dealers in the past is extraordinary. Was damn near 3k at other places way further I called around to.

Sweet...yea I went with SSO Lopro with the 32" cutout and Metal Tech rear bumper but there are plenty to choose from
