Depends which bolts I out in. If I bolt the front 4 up to the bumper the rear two holes don't line up and visa versa. Mine also makes contact with the steering rack when I bolt it up to the bumper.

Put a rubber or nylon washer in between the steering rack spots and the skid plate. Then tighten the front and drill new holes in the shitty OEM mounts. o_O:thumbsup:

Just tried bolting mine up earlier tonight, the 4 bolts in the bumper and one in the back line up, but the other one in the back is slightly misaligned and the bolt wont quite go through. It lines up front to back, but not left to right, which is strange. Almost seems like the rear holes on the skid aren't quite far enough apart. Gonna mess with it tomorrow and see if I can't finagle it in.

How hard is it to remove the cluster? After my key light install I noticed I have a bulb out behind the tach.

@Blue92 easy. go for it, 10 or 12mm sockets (can't remember which) and a philips head should be all ya need.

Strongly Agree. I have a set of 265/75/16 on 4 Runner wheels. Unfortunately, due to buying two 95's both with 15" AT tires that were almost new, I feel I have to run them in Winter and try to use them up a bit.

I have the 16s with Michelins on my other truck. But,... if I come across a good deal on some steel 16s locally I might spring for some pizza cutters for this truck.

Stupid easy. Remove the lower dash valence and the cluster trim with a few bolts and some screws. Make sure to unclip all three connectors before yanking on it.

While you’re in there, check if the gas light, wiper fluid light, and A/T Temp (if Automatic) are pinned and have bulb sockets. Mine weren’t. You don’t realize how many years I relied on those.

I believe the plug existed on 2000 and older trucks. I'm not sure if it started at 95 or not though.

My 99 was plug and play. The stock circuit is on a delay timer so it will stay on until you start the truck, or after 30 seconds or so.

Not today, but over thanksgiving I went up to Ricketts Glen for Thanksgiving. It started snowing without about 45 minutes left in the drive and got a little sketchy coming into the cabin site. This is what it looked like the next morning.

Has anyone replaced the input and output seals on the A340F and input seal on the transfer case? Is there a stop in any of the 3? I’m getting ready to install the tranny/transfer case and finish up my 4wd swap and have the seals ready to go in. Haven’t checked the FSM yet, thought I’d ask before jumping in.

by not fully engaging, do you mean the zip sound every once in a while having to turn it off and try again to catch and start?
