You notice a big difference between these and the Duratracs? Both Goodyear Wrangler's, they look like the same tire to me.

Curious on that response as well. Look slightly tamer than the duratracs from the photo - sidewall count/weight the same?

Drove home in the torrential rain, very smooth, highway at 70, no issue in rain, about 3mph off on the speedo, went with 265/70/17 vs stock 265/65/17. No rubbing at this point even though I tried.

    Looks great on the truck!

I did spend the additional 111 for the 3 year tire hazard with Discount tire... He dropped the tire down to 169 each, with mounting, warranty, tax, etc.. it was 890 after the rebate...

690.00 out the door after they gave me 70.00 each for the stock Toyos that were on my Sport.

Those look an awful lot like duratrac. Goodyear likes to occasionally make negligible changes to the pattern and apply a new name.

Maybe they look similar on a phone screen but in person, they are unmistakably different. They are more AT than MT. The Duratracs have much more void in the tread pattern. I feel like the Ultra Terrains are more like KO2's and were made to compete with them.

At 45,000 miles purchased Goodyear Wrangler AT LT245/75R16 to replace the OEM Dunlop AT20 Gran Trek P245's. Agony to choose from so many options. TW was a great help in making a short list. Between about 30 percent gravel/ ruts and mud roads and the rest highway driving, the compromise was to get decent traction and keep road noise to a minimum. Hence the LT Goodyear Wrangler AT.
Had a choice of P type or LT. After first 275 miles of general driving - no long highways - lost 1 mpg down to 16.4. Pix shows tread for comparison to above.

Thanks. Didn't need them to look badass. If there is more road noise from them, I can't hear it. I'll check back in at 40k miles

Adding a bad ass look is just a bonus in my book - function first - style second.
