What parts did you use to create a mount to connect the dash cam to the go pro mount?

Here are some pictures of how I did it.

    https://imgur.com/gallery/vIkLpgS

I used a extension thingy that came with my gopro kit. its designed to link a bunch together to make weird angles, but I never used them. There are 2 version, a short and a long. I used the short one.

Here is a Amazon link for something like I used.
    https://www.amazon.com/Williamcr-Straight-Connector-Accessories-Direction/dp/B06XSVLH3Q/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1543172793&sr=8-17&keywords=gopro+angle&th=1

There are 2 version in that link, I guess it doesnt really matter which one you get, but I used the "Different Direction" version.

I think these mounts are the Tacoma equivalent of those car phones that late 90s luxury cars still carried. 98% of owners will never use them.

That's because most of us are not extreme enough for a GoPro. Mine is filled with videos of my kids chasing each other.

Ok, what was the point of removing the left rear bed cubby though?

With that safety nanny camera, I’d hate to pay for a new windshield for that model. I can’t believe what’s become of 4wd trucks these days...

I use the cubby for my ebrake controller, and the GoPro mount holds my trailer rear view monitor. Unless it gets totaled and I can’t find a suitable replacement, it looks like my 2017 may be the last model year Tacoma I own. That would be sad too, because I really like it.

Probably to cut a buck off the cost of production, otherwise no good reason. I like my left cubby. I use my left cubby. Consider me a cubby hubby! Lol

!? I use that all the time at night or really cloudy days with Nav when it says “turn south on the next street” and so on. It’s wierd, I only need that in the city, when I’m offroad I dont usually need a compass to know which way something is.

Does the 2019 come with a compass at all? It would have been nice to add a digital compass and altimeter on it.

Is the auto darkening mirror still included? The dashcan switched power mod I posted probably won’t work with the 2019 if they deleted that and the compass.

It still has the compass option in the second lcd screen (right in front of the steering wheel) I test drove a 2019 on Friday. May stick with my 2017

Ugh, so you have to use the screen? Yuck. They should’ve included a digital altimeter, too. I bought a cool little analog one and use it a lot.

Yes they got rid of that and the bed box on the drivers side on the 19s. I don’t really care that much about the go pro mount, but, wish I had the second bed box.

Probably just an expired license and through feedback Toyota chose not to renew. I on the other hand use a GoPro for my dashcam so it works great, but I'm one of very few it seems.
