    Last night I pulled the front skid plate to get it blasted and painted and it was a lot rustier than I would have expected including a hole in one place. I have a stock 2004 DC 4wd that doesn't get off road so it kind of surpised me.

    Any suggestions on replacements? Also, where do I find this in the parts catalogs, on say ToyotaPartSales.com. Not sure where it fits in.

    TIA
    Chip

    not to assume you're a dumba$$ but there is a hole in the skid plate to drain the oil it gives access to your oil pan

    Ummm, yep, I know about the oil drain hole as well as the other factory holes. This is a rust through spot. Thanks for checking though.:D

    This happened to me about a month ago. I dropped the front plates and gas tank plate with plans to wire wheel and bedline. Thew front plate was rusted beyond repair. I went online and found a junk yard in cali, I think it was alltoyotaparts.com, and they shipped a front skid both sections from a junker...it was miint condition. I roughed it up and sprayed it, looks awesome. Thewy charged 100bucks for the two skids and shipping from cali - newyork. I will check the name of the website for yhou.

    I have a budbuilt on my 04. Buy far the best 300 i have spent on the truck. I tested it very hard last saturday and you can tell that it touched anything. The fitment was perfict and the sales guys were great. I had it at my door in 4 days. I would recomend it to anyone looking for a skid.

    BudBuilt = $ for a non-wheeler.
    Check B/S/T for oem replacement.

    I'm going to get a Bud Built one myself soon. The stock ones are a joke. Rocks can easily penetrate and damage your truck. The Bud Built ones are heavy duty and fit nice.
