Thanks guys! I was toying around with the emblem on the raptor-style grille that I have tucked away before deciding on the fender.

I haven't found an emblem/lettering that I'm 100% on to add to that grille.

Hey folks, I have been trolling this thread for some time, good information here.

This is my second Tacoma (first was '09 TRD OF), now have a '13 BAJA w/ 84k, love it. I really noticed the difference in handling the BAJA suspension provided over my old '09, but the current is getting some miles, and I was thinking I might need to upgrade down the road.

Can anyone comment who has changed out their factory BAJA/Pro suspension to Fox 2.5s, some details on ride quality (pro/cons) of this kind of upgrade, is it worth the swap? I do mostly city/rural backroads/fireroads on get out of town weekends.

I am looking at following setup ~$4500?:

    Front = Camburg UCA w/ Moog ball joints/Fox 2.5s (700lbs springs)
Rear = Fox 2.0s w/ ICOX AAL or RXT w/ leaf u-bolt flip kit
(both F/R w/ remote reservoirs and non-adjustable rebound)

Also my BAJA is forever pulling to right, have had (2) shops attempt to correct the alignment with no luck; I was thinking its the factory UCA or something to do w/ BAJA suspension; and would like to get my rear sag fixed....

    Anyhow thanks for insight.

700lbs coils w/o additional weight in the front is going to be stiff.

That’ll be a nice set up for sure. It will be a little stiffer. I have the icon aal on now and love it. I’d suggest it unless your springs now are toast then just go with the RXT’s (which is what I’m going with next).
The pull you got going on could be a few things really......how old are your tires

Nice..... so refresh my memory, they come with the added leaf in. So for me who doesn’t tow or has any added weight in my bed....I’d remove that added leaf right ?

They are shipped as Option 1 so the additional leaf is already separated. You can kind of see it at the top of each pack, see how there's a large gap from the top leaf? It's just taped and shrink-wrapped to the pack for shipping. I won't be needing that leaf for my needs either.

Ok cool. So option 1 is what I’d want then.

I've got mostly new BFG KOs 275's, it's pulled left since installed and before. Both shops had lot trouble with right alignment, something about frozen adjustment bolt on lower UCA.

Nice leaf pack, from reading the Ikon page, you get three options for one, based what your lift/tow/load requirements might be. I would go Stage 2, for my Undercover and bedrack, tools etc.

Hey @Island Cruiser - did the RXTs come with longer u-bolts? Or do they just re-use the factory bolts?

Also I have 2 other questions:

    1) Are you planning on running axle shims or a center carrier bearing drop kit? 1.875" isn't that much lift in Option 1 (what I'm going for) but trying to decide if I need those two parts. Leaning towards NO.

    2) Are you getting taller bump stops and if so, which ones? I'm planning on getting the 3.5-5" Fox 2.0s (985-26-118) and I think I need 2" bump stops.

@JuanitoBunito, @04TacoRunner or anyone else who might know too? I've searched and it seems some people use the 3-degree axle shims and/or carrier drop, some do not. Regarding the bump stops, just trying to figure out which ones are the correct size.

Yes, they do come with longer U bolts! It was in a separate box that came with my extended brake lines.

    1) I was thinking about this too, but I've read members who only added a mild amount of "likely" didn't need to. However, every truck is different. I'll find out the hard way if I get too impatient lol.

    2) I was under the impression that I won't need longer bump stops? Aren't the intentions of those to prevent the shocks from completely bottoming out? Because if so, the additional thickness and height given from the RXT's would prevent the shocks from coming close to bottoming out, right? And if THAT is correct, would I need to actually shorten or get shorter bump stops? I think, lol.

When I get my set of rxt’s, I will not worry about shims right off the bat only going 1.875” high....I don’t think you’ll need the c/b kit at all personally or the bump stops either. But......in the end to save me from looking dumb, all trucks are different........I still do feel confident in what I wrote though o_O

I guess that bump stop thing is something I haven't spent too much time wrestling with to figure out yet. I thought taller bumps were required to prevent the shock from bottoming out against its fully compressed limit due to the increase wheel travel. I could be completely off my rocker here...

Good to know. I'll skip the additional pieces for now and see what noises the truck starts making, if any.

    You guys rocks, thank you!!

Well one thing I never asked, ......... how do you use your truck? If you actually wheel it, The bump stops are warranted...for the flexing. I don’t wheel so I don’t have em. Just being lifted (under 3”) I know I don’t need the c/b drop and the shims. As for as noises....it probably be that, it’ll be a vibration you’ll get in the drivetrain. If you stay under 3”, strong chances you’ll be fine. If you go 3” there’s a possibility you may end up with a vibe and have to then do the shims and or c/b drop kit.....
