It keeps someone from just lifting the tailgate off and walking away with it. With the clamp in place they will at least have to have a screwdriver with them.

That does look great. Very neat, clean, professional looking. Please tell me more about the controller, such as model number, etc.

I've also added washers under the cable loops to make it harder to get those off.

A better option if money isn't an issue is a Sabellco Tailgate Lock. A little bit pricey but if you consider the price of a new tailgate (tailgate, paint match, camera, ect.) I think it's worth it. It's practically bullet proof. You'll need a drill and some time to get that sucker off!

I’m very happy with the quality, and look. I mounted the controller to the left thinking I could add a switch on the right.

The details are in the pics.

I'm in and out of mine too often to want to hassle with that little hide-a-key in the fob. The hose clamp is a cheap and easy solution.

    IMG_0233.jpg Howdy folks.

I picked up my 2019 TRD Off-Road November 14th. Super pumped on this move.

The first item I purchased was the AJT key fob.

Over the course of Thanksgiving weekend I ordered the following
    OEM bed matt
    BAKflip MX4 Tonneau cover
    Kicker tweeters, fronts and rears
Third tie down rail and some t bolts

    Pics coming this week.

Changed the front/rear differential, manual transmission and transfer case oil on my 2016 TRD Sport. 24k miles. Glad I did. Both diffs held sludge, trans was clean and the transfer case was clean. Should have waited to change that precious OEM 75w LF. Biggest difference was greasing the propeller shaft, 3 zerks on the rear, 2 on the front seem to be sealed. Apparently the dealer missed this step on the 15k service.

Just wanted to say thanks to the site members for the detailed information to make this job easy. Now that the free servicing is over, im sure to be a regular here.

    Cheers!
