What’s the backspace on those wheels? They stick out pretty far. If you get something around 3.75-4” BS you should be good. With the stock 4.5” BS you’ll rub the frame rail with your current tires.

Here’s a crappy pic of my old truck with 32x11.5 wildpeaks on it. Wheels are 15x8 3.75” BS.

Hey @boostedka , I forgot you had those 32's. Honestly, I have not taken the time to check to see what backspacing those black steelies really are. I just did what I knew would work for a while. I could probably throw some bushwacker flares on it to help and keep the setup I have but I am still unsure of how I would like the look of the flares.

So, I am going to try out the oem stock steel wheels I have first and see what happens. Here is a picture I found of what those steel wheels look like.

Also, had the CEL come on. P0402 code for "Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Flow Detected". Let me know if anyone had had this.

Those are cool looking wheels on first gens. Especially when painted black or dark grey. You may need to run a wheel spacer with them, 1" maybe, to keep the tires off the frame rails.
Sounds like an issue with the ERG system. Could be a bad valve, sensor, or may just need to be removed and cleaned out. Those EGR's are a PITA. I always just delete them.

I've never seen this style bumper done on a 98-00' so here we go...

I really like how that looks from the front.
I'm personally a big fan of the single row LED bars like the one shown. Although I don't like how it sticks out from the front like it does. I think it would look better if it was on top of the plastic portion behind the tubing if that makes sense.

we talked about that, but i am considering swapping to LP9's or the new LP6 at some point, and didn't want to make cuts to fit the bar that would end up showing if i changed the lights at some point. The bumper covers are cheap online, so we may tweak it moving forward.

The light bar will be removed when not out wheeling anyways. I don't need that hit to my wallet if it's stolen or damaged.

    Good call.
If you didn't want to drill into the upper part of the bumper cover, you could weld some plating or tabs that swing up and over the bumper cover from the front bar so that you still have that mounting position I mentioned. It would be supported from the tubing and you could still have the ability to remove it or change it up if you liked.

Are you going to add any sort of valence below the tubing? Along the lines of some pre-runner style minimalist bumpers that are out there.

No valence below the tubing. I don't really have any structural stuff to hide with it, and i like the clean look without it.

Yea the underside doesn't look as bad as other trucks out there, so no reason to cover it up.
How were you planning on mounting that tubing to the truck? Is that just a mock-up picture, or do you have some sort of hidden tubing that runs back to the frame rails?

Doing some stalking on your build and I love what you have been doing so far. When the money comes around, I hope to get some goodies to make my rig something similar to what yours has turned into.

LOL, that's a good question. I haven't looked underneath. I'm sure he's run it down to the frame and tacked it up for now. Once everything is tacked and looks right, he'll full weld the joints, break it off, and take it to have it powder coated, leaving 1" at the ends of the tubes where it welds to the frame. Then it'll just get a coat of rattle can black to protect the bare metal.

Got things switched around. Sold the black wheels, turned out to be for Chevy. Sold to a friend with a Colorado.

Got the 32” KM2 mounted on the oem wheels. Had to keep the spacers but they stay tucked in enough and now do not rub! I think I’ll hang onto them for now.

For some reason, those do not look like 32's to me. I believe you, it just must be your amount of lift or something deceiving my eyes.
I bet 33's would look great on your truck

I did a little trek down a waterline with a few places to flex and make sharp turns on a slope. It worked out fine, no rubbing yet.

I am fearful to ever try a 33". I think I would be back to rubbing, especially if I stuff 'em any at all... Not to mention running those lugs on this 4cylinder... the 32's are slug enough.

Looks good. I like the set up better than the previous. If you wanted to run 33's, you could probably do a 33x10.5 and wouldn't have issues with rubbing as long as your have your pinch weld clearanced. Your 2.7 motor would be sad though without a regear.
