Tried staying up all night to read it. Passed out around 2200. My young age must have had something to do with it. But will read it.

    And good morning all.

Since it seems this location has alot of great knowledge. I have a guestion. On my 93 when it was lifted i had to reinforce the alignment tabs. Thinking about lifting the 08. Do they still have the same issue? Should i just go ahead and weld in a 1/4 plate from the getgo or wait n see what happens.

It’s not necessarily needed for lifting but I’d recommend it if you wheel at all. I have the kit skip linked and I like it.

They match nicely (color temp) with my lifetime LED headlights. I love the wide beam. The Amazon ones would shoot down in front of the truck and not very far at all. The rigids shoot far and wide making a world of difference when driving dark, wooded back roads at night. VERY happy.

Sure thing. My rear bumps did the same thing and I needed to replace them. Mind you I see all seasons; heat up to 100+/- degrees, rain, sleet, snow and the salt the piss out of the roads here too so something to keep in mind. I had my bumps installed for 5 years. So since they use Allen bolts, I would suggest they be replaced with hex bolts instead, they rust and seized. The front driver's side wasn't too bad although I only had about a 1/4" range of motion with the modified Allen key. I was able to detach the bump from the metal plate by simply forcing the bumpstop back and forth until the rubber came free from the washer. You can see it in the photo below:

    62346EAD-97DF-42B6-BEBE-010270BF6876.jpg

The washer and Allen bolt should be attached dead center on the Wheeler's bump in the bottom of the photo. The plastics guy aka durobumps come with the washer covering the whole bumpstop bottom. I am NOT saying they would hold up better in the same amount of time and the same elements; time will only tell. The Wheeler's bump broke off easy and I was able to unbolt the Allen bolt with a proper Allen socket and socket wrench. Honestly, without breaking the bump off the mount, there would be no way to remove the old bump and install the new one. The front passenger was a bit more tricky to break off as I needed various pry bards before it came off. Unfortunately, that one was seized even worse and I was forced to cut the head off, bring the bolt flat with the bump mount and then use a step bit to drill it out and use a bolt and but to mount it. Luckily, you can access the inside of the bump mount so it was a piece of cake once the hole was drilled out.

I used anti-seize on everything yesterday. Hopefully I never have to cut and drill anything again and everything comes off nice and easy if I need it.

Here is link to when I tried to remove my rear superbumps and swap them to new bump perches. 5 years takes a toll on anything:

    I was a week behind:anonymous:
    Been busy (excuses, I Know)

@EatSleepTacos is you snorkel at home yet? When is the cutting?

My truck is currently in the garage, waiting for me to work on it. Still debating if I should get an appointment for the frame inspection before starting to work on it. I'd say yes... but truck is already inside lol

My stock bumps were seized like that as well. The built in bolt ended up snapping and we had to drill the holes out and just put a washer and nylock nuts on the bolt for the front wheelers bumps. With the new frame they are attached normally now. Antiseize is your friend. I coat all the bolts that go through a bushing sleeve in the stuff also to prevent seizing.
5 yrs still seems kinda short hmmm hope these durobumps last longer may be something looking into changing I'm going to keep a close eye on my wheelers now.

Yesterday I was looking at offroad games available on PS3, and can't seem to find something decent... you have recommandations?

I remember on my Xbox gen1 I had rent 4x4 Evo2. There was a lot of trucks/suvms available. Able to put in 4x4 or 2x4, winches and full list of mods to do on engines and apperance. Someone know that game?

Depending on price I’ll go with Alcan! If not, I’ll stick with dakars. And HH will happen eventually!!!

I just installed some duros. I've only been out once but they felt really good. I have nothing but the stock bumps to compare it to though.
