I'm about to buy the prinsu today, I'm going to make it work man I truley like the aesthetic look of it

 

I would just make it work with the OEM intake, no need to buy tons of other parts, I think with some fab work it can be done.

Yeah man trust me that's the last thing I want to do also. But in talking with prinsu and a bunch of people in another thread who have the rack and you have sent me measurements of the height of the rack and then measuring my own snorkel and its height the only way I can get it to fit would be to stretch or push my snorkel off of my a frame quite a bit and then drill into the rack. I am bolted the snorkel and pushed it to the side where it would be and it just looks horrible. I got an incredibly good deal on a safari ARB and I found a new OEM fender 4 the truck I can put it all on myself my biggest price tag will be getting the fender painted. Now I'll be honest this was my last option I didn't want to have to do this but to fit the roof rack and make it look like it should it seems Toyota's desert air intake will just interfere too much.

 

So recently I have acquired a Pelican 1660 and I know it would be perfect for the back of my tail bed as a storage container or anything I want to put in there like my body armor, a rifle, a go bag, or anything like. It can be as simple as waterproof storage for luggage. Anyways I was trying to figure out the best mounting solution for it especially security-wise cause I don't want to be stolen. So after brainstorm a little bit I came up with an idea. I bought a Rago Modular Accessory Mount, I'm going to bolt it into the back of the pelican with quick-release Wing nuts on the inside of the case that way I can take it off if I want to. It would be incredibly hard for someone to steal while it's closed and locked up but understand that if someone wants to steal it bad enough they'll probably get it but I don't plan on keeping it in the back of my truck 24/7 figured I'd post some pictures and share my ideas for anyone that might have a similar idea. I barely find anyone on the internet that had the same thing in mind so maybe this might help some of y'all if y'all have better ideas or questions please feel free!

how heavy is the Pelican 1660?

 

Nice looking truck, love the color.

Typically that one way valve is replaced with a two way, so that when you hot diff goes into cold water it doesn't create a vacuum and suck water in through the axle seals.

Not sure if it actually happens but it's a good theory.

Search diff breather mods for more info.
