    Looks like the kid who came with us to BK he ripped one of his off dented his truck up pretty good and ran that thing like a stuck pig. Toyota went chinsy with the 3rd gen and some of the stuff they did like that so silly.

    Yep. These corners are nothing but a bunch of plastic. Fortunately the damage was only to the corner. I have a @Mobtown Offroad HC bumper on order so I am not overly concerned with it. It was going to happen eventually. I've come close to ripping the corners off so many times.

    Yeah no clue why they did that doesnt' appear to be much protection back there unless you get smacked directly in the center as far as accidents go.

    I think it’s just for the blind spot sensors. They’re a giant thing behind each corner and can’t be behind metal. Easier just to build all bumpers plastic.
