Feeler/Interest gauge for 12-15 blackout interior parts

I FINALLY got around to swapping out the steering wheels controls, dash and shifter bezel. Super happy with the results and stoked I didn’t put any scratches in the new parts upon re-install. I’m kinda digging the silver accent of the 4x4 ring, tweeters and shifter, but we will see how long that lasts. Still looking for the matte faceplate around the climate control knobs, which I upgraded to AJT Design knobs along with the Hondo radio knobs. Both highly recommended. Some photos below (please ignore the dog hair, fingerprints and overall mess in the truck )

 

It doesn't fit exactly however I am using one. I think with some heat and bending you could get it perfect. I have a spare kit and will be trying this on my 07. It will likely not be until spring though.

It's hard to tell in this one. But the top sticks out a bit. I would rather deal with that than the garbage made for ours. Btw scosche makes better mounts than metra.

 

I currently have a scosche for 05-11, grey. I recently replaced my ac controls and center console out for sone out of a 15. I want to change the stereo bezel to black, preferably the gloss black ( matches ac ) for a 11-15. I just think the later years looks better.

 

I agree they do look better...more like stock. I have the glass black scosche.

 

My ac controls are gloss black, so i want the matching gloss black surround. Pkus the newer ones just look less cheap, how the clock surround is a liitle different and what not. Do you think it would be as simple as changing out the ac vent bezel to make the radio surround fit?

Looks perfect. I dont understand why the curvature would be different.... Id like to find out if replacing the ac vent bezel would remedy the issue. Guess its time to stsrt looking into that project . FML

 

I believe you can replace the vent for a perfect fit. Not sure why they would change it so little but they did.

 

Do you think swapping out the vents would cure the radio fitment issue?

 

Fuck.... I forgot they changed the 4wd switch too!! You cant make the newer one light up. Dammit!

 

Changing all of the dash lights looks nice also.

Anybody have a silver stereo surround w/4x4 opening for a 15 tacoma?

I'm in the market to buy one!

 

I have a full set with stereo in 2008 silver hazard button with lights and climate control if that works for you

 

The 15 is different, when they changed the front end of the truck they did some small changes to the stereo surround

 

I will in a month or so. Mine is a 2015 too.
