Last year I spilled half a beer down my seat as I was setting over a foot in camp to level up. It was a super wet/humid day too.. smelled real bad. Best part was it was only about a week before I got my wet okole seat covers.

Not the same thing as the defroster. But I feel your pain haha

On the bright side OP, this gives you an awesome chance to enhance TW by posting a how-to on dash removal and A/C duct cleaning. I guarantee you that you aren't the only person to have this mishap.

I would check with your insurance and see if it isn’t covered. If it was Diet Coke then I wouldn’t worry but the sticky sugar is going to cause issues for years. Removing the dash is a major job with potential for missing or breaking something. Paying the deductalble and having the dealer do it might be a better option.

As you know the trucks are designed in Asian countries and unfortunately the cup holders only fit a small can of green tea

Remember the song "them bones connected to..."? Start with removing the instrument panel which is connected to the windshield and vent, which is connected to the steering system which is connected to the engine compartment which is connected to the front end, the engine, the brake system, the seats, cab, rear end, tailgate, spare....once all removed, you get down to the tires, you can decide if you want to go for oversize! Now the sugar in the coke is gone, no worry about ants!

I spilled a little diet Mountain Dew on my drivers seat the other day in my 18... probably all of one sip. I’m still stressed about that. I can’t image this. I would have already traded it in to be able to sleep at night lol. I’m sorry man.

Good lord almighty! Now that I think about it, the cup was a lot of ice, I rescued about two inches of soda in the cup. So REALLY only a cup or so worth of liquid really made it out into the dash. Still shitty, BUT not as much as I originally thought.

My buddy spilt a Trente (larger than vente) black coffee with sugar in my front seat. I immediately pulled the seat, vacuumed, and shampooed the carpet. Smelled like shitty carpet cleaner for a week now it's good as new. Thank God for an all black interior.
