You've known me long enough to know that not only am I not helpful with anything, I'll go out of my way to make your life more difficult. It's all about my patented brand of conveluted BS and idiocy.

On a serious note, I had projectors once upon a time. I never liked them and one of the ballasts or igniters caught fire in my engine bay. No more projectors for me.

They were on the truck when I bought it, so I didn't do the work. I don't know the brand of materials used and this was just my experience. I trashed the HID crap and replaced the projector headlights with OEM. That was the most expensive aspect because I was able to score some gently used Osram 85w bulbs and harness for $100.

 

but I do need to talk to my boss today. need to take the rest of the week off to watch my son. my grandparents usually watch him and my twin cousins (1) but the twins have the flu.

yea he's pretty cool about it luckily I have the time to take off .almost 2 months of vacation. wife and I agreed we don't want him getting sick.

Bummer..Honestly I dont want to make that kind of investment on a product that may hamper quality of such an important safety component to flickering, fogging, or what you experienced. Changing a light bulb is a helluva lot easier than a headlamp unit an readjustment also.

 

Precisely my dude. You hit the nail on the head. I'll take low tech and reliable over worrying and having concerns in the back of my mind. There is enough I worry about so one less concern is welcome. Lol

 

My whole theme of the truck is low-tech including operator
