Three company name in 9 years. Wonder if they got tax dollars to help with that?
This company needs way more substance before the Tacoma days are numbered.
And that thing is butt ugly.

Pretty sweet truck, now we need a rotopax battery pack.... Imagine running out of juice on a trail with that. Not like you can just walk in a new gallon of battery and get 15 more miles.

Looks nice but it is Apples and Oranges. Compare it to a King Ranch maybe and it's still apples and oranges. Starting at $70K that means the first copies will be around $100K.
400 miles is great but I need to go 600 miles in 10 hours on Friday. Oops.

If a legit electric pickup ever materializes, it will blow the doors of the Tacoma, especially off road, but I think that may still be a ways off.

I'd be curious to know how things like cold weather, full payload/trailer affect the stated range figures. It's no secret that electric vehicles will likely be the standard one day. But in my opinion that day is not going to come for a long time.

Tacoma's days are numbered????? Not for quite a while.

Cool concept, but how many vehicles similar to this pop up looking really enticing, and then end up fading from view as quickly as they appeared?

The specs on this thing would support the truck needs of 95% of Tacoma owners. The price tag doesn't work yet for most Tacoma owners, but as these electric trucks become more commonplace they will be a game changer. Unfortunately Toyota has their heads too far up their own asses to get ahead of trends like these.

If solar recharging ever becomes feasible then that would pretty much seal the deal for me.

Sheesh, people. Nobody could smell the sarcasm oozing out their screens? I don't think the OP was being serious here.

Cool concept. I wish them well. I don't care for the looks nor the price, but I'm 100% behind innovative companies.

But the most important question is yet to be asked ... can I fit 32's with no lift?? ;-)

Sadly, there's just not enough watts coming down per square meter to make that a reality, unless you want a large array of solar panels you have to unfurl (although, if you make that part of my awning, and make it hail-resistant, so I'm not worried about hail, then I might be interested).

I think you are confusing a start up company and a company that has a business model that makes money. Companies like Toyota and Ford and GM will just buy companies like this if they have good ideas (that they don't already have) that can help their bottom line. Pretty sure every one of the big players has a skateboard EV in their drawer and will roll it out if needed. These guys need investment money now, Toyota needs to sell Rav4's and Camry's now. Two totally different business models.

That thing is outdated already running disc brakes, it doesn’t even have modern off road drum brakes like the Tacoma. Fail. Toyota is still way ahead in technology.

Conceptually it's great. It has an 11,000 LB tow capacity, and that back seat is spacious. Give them a few years to work out the bugs, get initial buyer feedback, make improvements, and then I'll be interested.
