It is a better radio and when it is the norm I will get one.
Just not a good option right now for offroading.

 

Even if I was riding with CB only people I'd probably still bring the ham. It's an easy way to call out for help if I end up alone and stranded with no cell service. Chances are I could reach somebody on the radio who has phone service.

 

Anybody besides me and @JBTacoma planning on going to Choccolocco this weekend?

 

It would be good for no cell service but I have never need cell service in the woods and you should never offroad alone.

Right now my transmission is on the ground waiting on a throw out bearing. It is suppose to be here Wednesday, if the weather allows me to get it back together I will be there.

would you need an oem bed cover or know anyone with one, I'd like for it to be as tight as possible while allowing it to be opened with the center bars removed.

If you can just take a few measurements, that'd be enough to verify fitment. Can you measure the total width of the bed cover and the distance from the outside edge of one t slot to the other? If I can get those numbers, I can make it as tight as you want. With the current design, the brackets shouldn't extend past the bed rail caps.

I thought my Leer Trilogy trifold cover would leak some with the Voodoo bars but no water issues. If there is any it is under my bed mat which I haven’t noticed. I was surprised at how dry the bed stays.
