I enjoyed both of those games thoroughly!

Haha, but in all seriousness, the best game I have ever watched was that 2012 SECCG. Hands down!

 

so rankings are tomorrow, but just looking at the situation...and to stir up discussions..

if it's this, like I think it will be:

Alabama
Clemson
Notre Dame
Georgia
Oklahoma
Ohio State
UCF
Michigan

and Georgia/Oklahoma/Ohio State all lose....is UCF #4?!

 

does UCF not have to play a game before the bowls? they don't have a QB anymore right? can they win without one?

 

they have to play Memphis. this was assuming they win...which they just did without their QB.

 

that being said Memphis only lost to them by 1 in regular season, but Memphis has lost to Mizzu, Tulane, and Navy as well.

 

I heard this morning that UCF wont move up due to their QB being done for the season. They wouldn't compete with anyone even with him, now that hes done, they would just get blown out by more.

 

but who goes ahead of them? LSU and Wazzu lost right in front of them so they will jump them. Michigan MAY stay ahead of them but I doubt it after their blowout.

 

The girlfriend wanted to buy me tickets for Christmas but I can’t get off work Saturday.

I was there, too. As much as I hated seeing us lose that game, that was by far the best game I’ve ever watched and/or attended.

 

Even though it would never happen and the world would end if they did, but if Bama barely beats UGA, they could stay in. Or they will just go with conference champions period, regardless of record. Which would be hilarious if Northwestern beats OSU

 

I don't see Georgia/Oklahoma/Ohio State losing in any fashion, and staying in front of undefeated UCF. You cannot justify that other than by opinion.

I think they have to put UCF in in that situation.

 

I agree but who's to say UCF will beat Memphis now though?

ASSUMING UNDEFEATED UCF BEATS MEMPHIS AND STAYS UNDEFEATED WITH NO LOSSES AND IS A WINNER AND NO LOSSES AND UNDEFEATED WITH A VICTORY OVER MEMPHIS

 

I'm just ready to see if the committee holds to their "by the book" and chooses based on conference titles, strength of schedule, timing/severity of losses etc.

instead of by opinion "we think these 4 are best".

I'm fine with them doing the "4 best by opinion", but I wish they'd take out the criteria for selection if they're going to do it that way.

 

To me, timing of a loss is by far the dumbest criteria ever thought of.

 

well you would think that....since it doesn't affect Bama when they lose lol!!

seriously though, I do agree with you to an extent...because say you lose to the #1 team at the end (like Georgia very well may do) then how the heck can you get punished for losing to #1?

buttttttt I also see the side of "you just lost to them you shouldn't get a 2nd chance to play them". because what does that prove, that you can go 1-1 against each other?

by saying "timing of loss doesn't matter" then 2011 LSU is Natty Champs and Alabama was the regular season winner, right?
