I am doing this soon as well. One thing I am struggling with in my mind is making sure the high hat bolts are in the correct orientation to the bolt hole at the bottom of the strut. How do you do that? Can the strut be turned under tension somehow in order to line up the bottom bolt?

Go with LEDs. You can run as many as you want and not have to worry about overload

Yep, just put something in the bottom eyelet and twist. Takes a bit of force but with spin.

Ah, got it. Thanks. I'll try to assemble it as closely as possible and just fine tune it by twisting the strut with a big screwdriver or something.

Think I used a 3/4 ratchet extender, something with rounded edges. Big screwdriver should work.

Yep I used a metal punch I think. Didn’t take a ton of force to rotate. Had to disconnect some brake lines on the passenger side but we actually did the driver side only having to disconnect the sway bar and left that wheel on, would have been easier off though.

Finally ordered and picked up a full size matching spare tire, the wheel doesn’t match the current wheels on my truck but hey at least I have a full size spare now. Stay tuned if you want to see how I’m going to mount this in my bed. I’m gonna push it up against a cab and add a D ring to the middle of the bed in use a Heavy duty Y strap from SDHQ with a cable lock. The new spare wheel is a Vision Turbine, 16x8 0 offset. If anyone needs wheels or tires in AZ, my guy Matt Meyer is the man. He sold me all my STT Pros at $182 ea instead of $220

    Soon...
Plasti-dipped my stock steelies with the Dip Your Car Brass Monkey flavor. Turned out better than I expected but probably only because I set my expectations super low. Will tide me over until I buy some actual new wheels (Stuck between SCS F5 dark bronze and the Method 701 Bronze). I was getting cold so didn’t need do a great job of peeling the over spray off the rest of the tire.

While hanging out waiting between coats, I relocated my trailer plug to ghetto-zip tied to the cross-member. One of my fog lights was burnt out so I replaced those with some Sylvania Ultras as well.
