I’d love an FRS/86. I don’t know how I feel about a Suburu engine though with its issues.

Well the good news is they're the quintessential kid car so they're dirt cheap used.

And that is what makes the USA great is there a place for both of us, and we both get to say we are Americans.

Also: not a fan of the ocean? I get the major cities and political ideology differences, the ocean was surprising.

Born and raised in Phoenix lol, I have thin blood. I like visiting real winter, hate living day to day in it. To be fair San Diego's year round 60-70 degree temps with low humidity is one of its best factors.

I've never done heat well, always walked to school in a t-shirt in the 30s and 40s haha. So PHX is a constant PITA for me although I don't shrivel up and die when it goes over 100 anymore.

You can always put more clothes on when you're cold, but you can only take so many off when you're hot before people call the police.

This is very true, even in the negatives I'm usually one jacket and a nice shirt, maybe some gloves and my jeans and I'm good for a long time as long as I'm not standing still

yeah all of my family (minus my parents and sister) still live in Missouri, they've been telling me about the earthquakes in recent years. We haven't had a good one out here in a long while *knock on wood*

Fun fact - the last big one that LA had (the Northridge earthquake of 1994) happened the very night that my family and I moved to LA from Texas...we were in a hotel just outside of Northridge. That was one hell of a welcome

I do pretty good in the cold, it doesn't really depend on the temperature, more on cloud cover and wind.

I can be in shorts sleeves on the mountain in 5 degrees and sunny weather but need a jacket when its 20 and cloudy.

Apparently I'm getting some upgrades to my cold weather gear here soon so thats decent.

Fuck wind, it can be otherwise perfect but wind can make anything shitty.

Nice! Yeah wind is kinda a given in eastern WA, it's always sorta windy. So it always seems a lot colder

Quick question for those of you with FN or SCS wheels, etc and the TRD center cap. How did y'all get it to stick?

I have the KMC Ebduros and my TRD center cap is just a hair too small to stay in.

I think people were having folks with a lathe chuck it up and grind a retaing ring. But there some manual tools they make for this too

    A lathe?

A lathe is a tool with a rotating drive that’s meant for use in shaping metal, wood, and other materials.

Not sure that would be me any good. Making the bore of the wheel bigger or the plastic center cap smaller isn't going to fix the issue lol
