Yeah that would be cool. Someone suggested buying the cebterxap made for the wheels and combining the two. But that's way too expensive for an accent piece.

oh shit that reminds me I jb welded that 10mm hex socket to my front diff drain plug yesterday...hope it's solid by now. If not then it probably fell off on my way to work lol

ya either way it's a goner...not going to try and save it from the stripped plug if it is on there tight, gonna go in the trash with the plug.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Wait so is it filling the void between the plug and the socket or is the socket just sitting on top. Cause JB weld has awful torsional strength but might hold the compression from filling the void.

Both I guess, I was pretty liberal with it and careful not to get it on the outside of the plug (that would suck). Figure I'd give this a try before I take it to a shop to have them weld a socket to it. It's got a slow leak coming from the stripped plug so I think I managed to get it a little loose before it stripped a few weeks back, so hopefully it won't take much to break it free completely.

Yeah jb weld is not what most claim it to be. Says right on the box it can be tapped. I know from experience it most definetly cannot. I doubt it will keep a socket glued on under load.

I agree but I'm hoping it won't take much load to break free since it's already leaking a bit from the stripped plug

I did use JB weld to hold my front LCA bump stop to the arm and it's held on strong for 6 months now and a lot of offroad trips, much to my surprise...but that's fusing plastic to metal which is what it's supposed to be best for. Metal on metal I'm not too sure

someone should troll a 3rd gen thread and tell them to JB weld their sliders on instead of bolting them
